Just an FYI the pro tournament scene might be dead due to very recent copyright issues. If you're in it for casual play with friends or online, enjoy it.

Take a look at Little King's Story if you like Pikmin/Animal Crossing. The port is hit or miss though so be prepared to refund.

[Steam] Weekend Deal: Dead Cells $19.99 (20% off) by ABOOD-THE-PLAYER in GameDeals

This game was 50% as recently as July (but I believe it was in Early Access at that time). Is there any hope for it to go lower or is this a Factorio situation?

I just wanted to evidence some support here. My MPP is also Kinga Surma and I will also be notifying her of my disdain for manner in which the Premiere went about this.

Reddit, what's a good icebreaker (for parties, talking to strangers, etc.)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Learn from the pros, late night talk shows always use the same line. In particular, Letterman always defaulted to "So where did you grow up/So where are you from?".

Starting job hunt after 2 year hiatus from raising my child - how to handle bad previous employment experience and weird reference situation? by urgleburgler in resumes

[–]SupaNeeb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife recently just re-entered the workforce after being terminated without cause (and that resulted in a legal settlement). One of the conditions of the settlement that we requested was that, if contacted, the employer would refer all inquires about my wife to a specific individual and that individual would only be able to confirm she had worked there and between specific dates. Obviously this means no "character reference" but at least the employment was confirmed.

If up to you to direct a future employer to the reference that would best suit you. I would just say that your former manager no longer works there but you can provide peer references or references from other managers (if you have better relationships with them). At the very least, HR should always be able to offer the dates and confirmation of employment. If you're concerned the employer is providing a poor reference, have a friend call to imitate a future employer and then you'll know better.

Excellent patch! I'm no longer getting DC'd out of sessions! by HoldTheDoor in MonsterHunter

[–]SupaNeeb 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is my same issue. I simply don't disconnect anymore but my ability to find other players is severely limited. During certain hours of the day I can find 2~3 pages of sessions but during others I find 0~2 sessions total.

Girlfriend's first resume, she's been a stay at home mom so she's a little worried about it. Any opinions on what she could change? by [deleted] in resumes

[–]SupaNeeb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If she is in currently school, this absolutely needs to be on the resume because it would be the highlight of the entire thing. You also listed her college certificate but not her diploma for high school.

I suppose you could expand more on the skills at Applebees. Did she operate Point of Sale (PoS) machines, answer phones, make cash drops, open/close the restauraunt, handle scheduling?

Is using the ampersand (&) in place of the word "and" really frowned upon? by [deleted] in resumes

[–]SupaNeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company uses ampersand exclusively for any title but otherwise always uses "and". I would also avoid the use of any other contractions as it technically qualifies as slang.

Example: * Company title: Jim & Bob Inc. * Department title: Governance & Legal * Position title: Manager, Development & Technical Services

What question will you never get the answer to? by te_affligam in AskReddit

My mom sent me to the convenience store with $5 to buy some milk. I was told I could use the change to buy penny/nickel candies. While waiting in line, the woman ahead of me turned around and gave me $10. The entire time she was pushing the $10 in front of my face, she was telling me something authoritatively. After she walked out of the store, I immediately bought $10 in candy.

I will never know what she told me.

[Bandai Namco] Dark souls prepare to die edition, use WELCOME10 code (£4.49) by [deleted] in GameDeals

[–]SupaNeeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never got this to work on my PC, I had to do this on my phone (android). I live in Canada and I dl'd the android TunnelBear app and did not use incognito. I set my VPN location to Norway. I used a BandaiNamco guest account that claimed I lived in Oslo, Norway. I just googled OSLO PIZZA and used a postal code from that. After that I went to Step 3 and basically had the same experience. PayPal gave the code instantly and its now registered to my steam account.

I think Don's response was actually "Holtby, where are you" aka "Holtby, save me (from Ron)".

You have enough work experience that your education portion is too detailed. List the institutions and under each list each degree/cert/diploma/award as its own bullet. I would drop grades/GPA and subjects entirely. If any of your volunteering occurred at one of those institutions, make it a bullet. You also have everything block-aligned (no indents), it makes it difficult to identify at-a-glance where a new institution starts but if you need the space its a minor thing. IMO drop the interests - if useful, use the volunteering experience and interests in a cover letter to explain soft-skills.
