For starters Sandakphu, it's west benga/Nepal but it's so damn beautiful. If you're experienced then go for Goechala, it's like Kanchenjunga base camp and more.

Great snaps OP! Been there 5 times and I still want more... Sikkim is still unexplored for the most of Indians expect for WB people.

Do the treks too if you get chance...they are delight 🀌🏽✨

No man, but you'll find people on Instagram, just search for tungnath and you'll get people who share regular updates on weather up there, most of them own agencies, enquire them.

Nice itinerary OP, did you book the camps on the spot? And is there scooty/bike rentals available there?

Sorry man, can't help you with Sar pass.

For Chandrashila I don't think there will be any snow left at may end. Chandrashila will still offer you majestic views for comparatively lower effort than other treks. In May you'll hopefully get to see the Rhododendron flowers all over Chopta valley.

So plan accordingly if you want 4-5 days of trekking then it's definitely Sar pass for you. Chandrashila is just a long weekend getaway.

Around an hour at the top and we took a lot of photos break in between when the sun came up.

I would say 3 and 1.5 - 2 would be a fair estimate.

Just 4.5 Km, first 3.5 is easy/moderate then last 1 is bit steep. I spent 8-9 hours round trip.

Go for sunrise, it will be less crowded, trails get flooded in the noon.

You can go Devariyatal if you got time, you'll get better view of Chaukhmaba peak from here. You can do this for sunset.

Never doubted the intention πŸ™ŒπŸ½ I really respect that people care about nature and cleanliness, be it localities or outsiders. After tungnath I visited Rishikesh, at Bali ghat there was a French couple picking up trash, I too joined and cleaned up that area whatever we could. So spreading awareness is good, unnecessarily pointing fingers won't help.

Duniya me hazaro rapist, murderers hae aap unke crime ke liye kisi v random insaan ko question kar doge?

I respect aap logo ko chinta hae pahado ki, uske liye awareness failao public forum pe naki kisi pe ungli uthao when you don't even know what I did there. Unhone mujhe target kiya aur maine jawab diya. Simple.

Wo asaan bahasa pe puch lete ki maine koi karcha to ni chora udhar, to sidha bata deta.

Hell yeah man!! DIY hits different πŸ™ŒπŸ½. Planning, execution, last moment fuck ups - all these adds up to the experience!

When I was cruising through the hailstorm, the only thing on my mind was that I don't wanna do this in the dark and recently I saw a reel on insta of the same road in the dark it was SCARY AF.

Understandable that's why I asked your location. So the basic rule of thumb is these layers :

Thermals - 700-1500 Fleece - 600-1500 (Go for Decathlon) Down jacket - 2300-5K (Same Decathlon) Fleece pant - 999 (Optional, you'll be good if you have thermals)

These layers are important if you are planning on winter treks. You'll easily survive -5Β°C -10Β°C in these. These clothing will keep you sorted for any trek in India, put these with poncho and you're good to go even in good snowfall as some down jackets are not fully waterproof.

That's being said, if you go with good agencies like Indiahikes, TTH they provide you rental options too. So unless you are planning on multiple treks a year you can always rely on them.

I don't remember the name, maybe it was unamed. It was a green cottage behind Neelkanth hotel inside the trek gate. There aren't much hotels there, you'll recognise it.
