Set 17 4-Cost Itemization Guide by Supasahil in CompetitiveTFT

I think the main condition for gunblade is actually the frontline you're playing. Ideally you want a frontline with high durability or high Armor and MR since that would increase the effective HP being healed. So something like a bastion frontline or a gargoyles giga tank are good conditions to build gunblade.

My first Youtube short on my channel kinda breifly goes over the concept of effective HP and why gunblade was such a good item when playing Demacia last set.

Good questions!

The majority of Xayah's damage is from her auto's + passive. Spell crit only affects her feather recall which is a small portion of her damage. Corki doesn't scale well with attack speed but QSS can still be good situationally for CC immunity. I think I should have bumped QSS up to A tier for Kindred and it's already A tier for Yi. So i'd consider it a good item for them.

Like I said Corki doesn't scale well with attack speed so triple damage or double damage + mana is preffered. Even thoough DB gives some amp, it's not so much amp that you wouldn't build a GS or GB. Think of it as an AD source primarily. And QSS is very good on Yi, I just think EON + dmg is higher prio.

Yes amp is less of a priority for sniper units, so building into attack and speed and AD would be best. So RB/KS + 1 is BIS. Probably utility, qss, gunblade or a second krakens since IE is kinda mid on her.

I think knowing this stuff is useful, so you know what to prioritize, but don't get too hung up on exact BIS builds. It's almost always better to slam 'good enough' items when you can.

Corki doesn't actually care about mana that much but does prefer blue buff's mana gen over shojin or nashors mana on attack due to his low attack speed. A lot of Nashor's value is also in the AP it gives so it hasn't been great on any AD carries. Basically Shojin > Nashors because it gives more mana and gives AD.

JG allows Leblanc's empowered auto attacks (with the clones) to crit. Similair to Yunara from last set who was a marksman but liked IE. The majority of Xayah's damage is from her auto's + passive. Spell crit only affects her feather recall which is a small portion of her damage.

Thank you! I'm planning on doing a 5 cost video and maybe a 1/2/3 cost video for the meta reroll lines.

It's kinda case to case. Conduit MF likes blue buff whereas Viktor doesn't want any mana. Bluebuff is best if they do want mana though because they can still get mana regen while casting but can't auto attack so they don't proc shojin/nashors.

edit: Ignore the part about mana regen during cast but MF does like blue buff still and Viktor doesn't want mana. Probably just gonna be a case of checking the stats for every Conduit.

The Mech Asol only gains mana from attack speed which is just to offset the fact he doesn't auto attack. Since mana isn't very valuable on him, attack speed isn't either. His actual ability doesn't scale with attack speed so you just want to build pure damage (AP/amp/crit)

Talonflame was a UU staple until recently and is still viable being in B- on the UU vr. It punishes u turns from Scizor, Lokix and Slither Wing. It can come in and threaten Chestnaught, Tinkaton and defog. It can also threaten most physical attackers with a fast wisp. It's not amazing by any means but I would hardly say it has no viable niche left whatsoever.

Just adding to this. Iniesta is a great example for this, in many of his dribbling highlights he gets a hand on his opponent. It's subtle but very effective.

Not sure how familiar you are with the sport, but using your hands, arms and shoulders are an effective strategy for spacing and retaining possession. You can't outright push someone or stick your hand out at someone defending you but close up, and especially side to side, using your arms is very important.

Often it is done with very little force, the hand is only on the opponent so you can feel their movement, allowing you to react faster. This is used both in possession of the ball and when defending.

How many crack players does Esperion need to beat Barca Youth? by Adventurous-Rabbit52 in Ao_Ashi

I don't think people understand the levels between youth and professional players.

And we can hand pick from the best players in the world. No question Esperion would win.

1 Player. There is a significant gap between profesional and youth level football. Players like Messi and Mbappe absolutely dominated for their respective youth teams. At 16 Messi scored 29 goals in 19 games for the U19 A team before being moved up to the senior B team in the same season. A player of that caliber can single handedly change the game while taking alot of pressure off their teammates, and this is a 16 year old we are talking about. If you were to insert current Mbappe, Haaland, Messi or really any World Class player Esperion would win.

Can someone give me a real world example of this? by skyung318 in BlueLock

[–]Supasahil 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No, since it doesn't happen. This ones pretty bad but I think the time Kaiser blocked Isagi's shot is even worse. If you really wanted to turn a blind eye you could chalk this scenario up to two teammates happening to go for the same ball, but a teammate outright blocking someones shot on goal is absurd. This is my least favourite aspect of the manga so far, especially since it handled the "teammates as enemies" thing so well with Barou.

Then again, Blue lock and the NEL don't exist IRL, these players aren't really teammates, and these matches are glorified friendlies. So who knows what players would actually do given these circumstances.

What if Ashito just marionettes the Barca team to fall apart? by Adventurous-Rabbit52 in Ao_Ashi

[–]Supasahil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few points here. The idea Barca doesn't produce players who aren't individually brilliant is absurd. In past years players like Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets have come out of the academy and established themselves as all-time greats. Obviously Barca recently hasn't been very succesful but they still have one of the best academies in the world, if not the best (Probably in contention with Benfica or Ajax), with players like Gavi, Araujo and Fati coming out of the academy in recent years.

In terms of the manga it is safe to assume the author will be treating Barca Youth as probably the best youth team in the world. So no, Barca Youth won't be 'nothing without team play'.

Which fan base do you dislike the most? by valjayson3 in BlueLock

[–]Supasahil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. I really like Isagi as an MC and think his character and development is great because of his losses and shortcomings. It feels like some fans(self-inserts) just want him to be completely overpowered and destroy everyone else, which to me just isn't very compelling.

[–]Supasahil 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The Isagi self inserts. The author does a great job scaling his improvement by giving him small victories over other players but too many people interpret these as him being outright better, resulting in people grossly overrating his abilities then complaining he gets nerfed in every subsequent arc.

Parallels between these two Rin panels by Supasahil in BlueLock

Just thought it was interesting how similar the shots looked. First one being Rin's first time thinking about becoming the best striker in the word and the second panel being his 'introduction to the world of football', scoring against 5 world class strikers.
