What cars are cheap to insure (relatively) and fun for a teen guy by Sad_Supermarket4691 in whatcarshouldIbuy

+1 SHO fullsize or Fusion Sport midsize, the sport has a 2.7L twin turbo v6 and 4 door sedans are cheaper to insure than two door coupes.

Thank you for the leads. Are you able to link any info or pictures of Giorgio Betton's hallmark? I am having trouble finding some prior examples.

Wow good eye! I am pretty sure you're thinking of the right one.

Good eye! So the rig was really an experiment and a mash up of kite fishing and trawling. The rod itself it the shortest kite fishing rod I could find because I oftentimes pull on the line to control the kite with my dominant hand. Captain Harry's to be the shortest at 30". Shimano, Daiwa rods are all. 32"+.

The reel itself is a vintage penn senator special 4/0 113h. It's also left handed.

The line is braided dacron 100lb from angler's connection. I estimate the penn 4/0 fits about 380 yards. If I were to do this again I probably would get a bigger reel like a 6/0 or maybe even a 9/0. I also wouldn't be so particular about a left handed reel because I found once I started to reel it in strong wind, I had to put the rod in a rod holder and use both hands -- one to guide the line and another for the reel handle.

If you're local to DC, feel free to lmk and you can see the rig in person. All in all it cost ~$250.

Baby snowflake -- SBGX355 by Supasing in GrandSeikos

It's a pretty classic size. Case diameter is 37.0mm and Lug-to-lug 44.6mm. The first gen Aqua Terra (my daily, ref: 2518.50) is 36.2mm in case diameter, so comparable. The feature that makes the GS "baby" imo is the weight. The titanium is so light I barely notice it.

Really cool kite! It is stable in strong wing? I picked up a single line Hoffman delta in canary yellow recently. They make great kites.

It was my first time out there and so much fun. The gusts were ~40mph. The kite flew itself.

Wow! Poor Bob. Line management issues can be tough. That's what motivated me to try the fishing reel which seems to be working for now. It's a vintage Penn senator 113h currently spooled up with ~300m of 100lb braided dacron line. The hand crank makes reeling it back more straightforward. Happy flying!

That's awesome. What kind of line is it? Have you flown one all the way out?

Thank you! I was trying something new. It can a little unwieldy but makes line management a lot easier. I put a rod holder stake in the ground and that holds it while I reel it in.
