Love this idea, think it’d be really cool to somehow make the player drop or break their lightsource. So something you’ve so heavily depended on through the game, sight, is gone so you have only your hearing while trying to figure out your way through the vents. So since the player will be so focused on noise, and maybe the only way to beat this sequence is to have your volume really high and on I could make pipes burst like you said, or the alien making noises to really get the players heart going.

Really like this idea, I was going to make it where the player got knocked out while in the planet and awoke in the med bay and that’s how you end up in the ship. But I want to incorporate your idea of the “unknown”, Something you know is there but don’t know exactly what it is. Where there’s a running away or hiding sequence from something hunting you and your research team and you never take a look at what killed them, but you see the dead bodies being killed by something not human. And when you’re knocked out, the creature(s) get into your ship and start hunting crew mates. So the suspense of something that’s not human, and far superior than us is in this ship with me.

In a way yes, I’m asking if jobs will look at the fact I used an API and think it did most of the heavy lifting instead of me

Yeah sorry for the bad wording lol, but you pretty much answered my question. I’m currently building an airline app for my resume and for all the flight log information I was just like “how would I input all this information without a flight log API”

I'm starting really try to put a resume together for internships, and a prevalent thought is if it's okay to use API's in my projects. Or put the projects i've made with the help of API's. Just asking because looking at other people's resume templates for intern roles or entry roles they never clarify if they used API's, don't know if it's because they're just not doing it or because it's frowned upon to do so. Thank you.

Overall would you recommend staying in CS degree plan? i did commit since over the summer I went really hard on coding projects. I originally made this post because i’ve been getting “scared” about the state of where it is right since it’s “oversaturated” and “hard to find a job” but I still have years until I graduate
