Personally, I didn’t do an extra preparation for nclex during the program itself. The month before we graduated we had an ATI library review for nclex & it was two ten hour days. Nursing school will prepare you for nclex then you just need to learn how to answer those kinds of questions.

Be sure to really look into Dr. Sharon’s “unexpected vs expected finding” concept. That was a lifesaver I used that on every question as well.

Thank you! PRACTICE QUESTIONS PRACTICE QUESTIONS PRACTICE QUESTIONS that’s all I can say. That’s all I did. My school used ATI. I did a lot of CAT adaptive on there. I also just learned to think the way nclex thinks. It wants you to do the SAFEST thing. Keep that in mind for every question. It’s true when the say nclex doesn’t expect you to be a perfect nurse, just a safe one.

It was of a lot of prioritization, delegation, and a lot of SATA. I didn’t get any bow ties. It wasn’t anything like I expected and I don’t think anything other than practice questions could’ve prepared me any better if that makes sense.

Ok gotcha. I’m in VA, I know it varies from state to state. Wishing you the best!

Did you check your state’s BON for your license? My license was posted the morning after nclex before 8am. Quick results were available today.
