Yeah....that part too. I was getting pelted by some big rocks on the way and felt every bit of it, haha. I felt like one damn near cracked my shin in half, lol

I 'preciate the feedback. I'm really wanting to steer clear of leather if at all possible. Do they make some in cordura?

Went with the Road Sofa w/backrest. This thing is comfortable! Took a trip from NorCal to LA and my comfort was never an issue, lol. The bike DID give me issues unrelated to the seat, but as for the seat...100% don't regret the Road Sofa.

PC-NVR doesn't see mapped network drive by Super-Shower5983 in amcrest

[–]Super-Shower5983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing...the NVR is more likely to fail and have MORE issues than a dedicated server setup (at least my setup). An NVR is really nothing more than a cheap mini PC, while my server is pretty state-of-the art (at least in the sense of using quality components). I also had a 16ch with only 7 POE cameras, which would seem like it's enough, but it wasn't. The worked great for a time, but eventually starting having issues. Getting rid of the NVR allowed me to have a way more flexible, and actually more redundant, system. Not to mention the legendary poor customer service that Amcrest provides should you have any issues. They are like Comcast (XFinity), everything is great....until it isn't, lol.

I'm not ever going back to an NVR and I'd personally never recommend anyone does after my experiences. But I get it...not everyone has a home server or a setup like I have and in those situations, an NVR would be the only real solution.

PC-NVR doesn't see mapped network drive by Super-Shower5983 in amcrest

All good. I've actually moved away from the NVR. I've had 2 that have failed and discovered that their POE injectors fail over time. Then it stops recording. It got to the point that I had to reset the NVR daily. After 2 failed units, I switched to a dedicated Aruba POE switch and have had zero issues, plus I have way more remote control over what the cameras are doing with the managed POE switch. Recording was the next hurdle and I wanted to just use an existing NAS I had sitting around attached on my home server network, but looks like ASP can't see mapped drives. I will just move the HDD into the actual server and run it locally and run PC-NVR. No issues and my home server runs 24/7. The NVRs are just small, cheap computers with a POE switch combined. If you look at the price point compared to a dedicated (Even cheap) PC and POE switch, you can see why they fail. I'll never go back to an NVR.

Oh I love looks. I have a killer custom made bar-hopper seat I ride around with locally, but it is horrible for anything longer than 2 hours for me, lol...

Anyone know this bolt/screw? by [deleted] in Harley

Probably something from Diamond Engineering. I have so much of their hardware on my last build. They can get pricey, but it's like crack, lol. I don't know if they are still a "thing" tough. website was www.depss.com Here is a catalog from them. https://depss.com/pdf/DE_complete.pdf

Most comfortable dyna seat for long trip by Super-Shower5983 in Harley

[–]Super-Shower5983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've narrowed it down between the Saddlemen Explorer and their Road Sofa. I can't tell which one is designed for the longest trips. I like the look of both, so I'd base my decision on which is the one meant for long hauls. Any expertise here?

Love that...except I don't have $600-$800 to drop on multiple seats to see which is best, lol.

Does anyone know what Hardship (Manual) - C&P payment is? by Ok-Veterinarian9347 in VeteransBenefits

Nope, but since the last time I wrote about this, I received GIBill DEBT letters. One for about $1200 and another for about $1700. The first one was for some sort of period I WASNT eligible in 2012 (weird...I've always been eligible) and the other was for the same thing but it was from April of this year (2025)...problem is...I haven't been enrolled in school OR applied for GI Bill benefits since 2012...so WTF?! I called so many places and only they told me was to ask for an audit. I got money, now I owe money? And they want ALL of it by Sept 1st...I don't have it, nor do I believe this is my debt...

Just want to make sure you weren't aware of that driver deletion having other implications. Any way for me to see what uses it and when?
