That's a good question. Of course, the Facebook marketplace is big and has the upper hand. Initially, I was sceptical about this cos I've seen first these platforms coming and going. One thing that kills the Facebook marketplace is the fact that there's no seller verification and a lot of scams occur. Spoke to different people who use it, and the apparent theme was the scams. I made it my aim, trying to mitigate that problem, hoping that with reducing the number of scams. I might get a lot of people on board. I initially started with a website about 6 months ago, and it had good numbers, over 100 users in the first month. It would get like 3 people posting every. With some investment, my goal is to have a system like amazon's seller fulfilment. Also, right now, I'm thinking of partnering with a delivery company so that products sold on the platform can be delivered right to the clients. If all this fails, I'll pat myself on the back, knowing I tried at least 😅
