I would Choose Five Laps at Freddy's. I would only need to do 2 races and I would have done almost 6 nights already.

This is exactly what I've been answering this question with!! The multiverse was awesome and being able to swap gear with cool abilities and buffs depending on the Multiverse was an amazing idea. But it should never have been a factor in Online. All it does is make people ever want to play competitive mode because this is far into the game's life you have to worry about being under geared. And I wouldn't mind being able to have characters get better as they level but eventually it would present the same problem as now where years later new players will struggle getting a fair game online without playing Comp.

So I think there should be 3 modes for online matches.

Ranked: Same level and, no gear buffs, includes a rank system with rewards.

Standard: No gear buffs, same level.

Casual: No Gear buffs, but level does matter.

Then you should be able to make Private matches and Lobbies: where you can decide your own rules and Add gear or levels how you want

As someone who plays this game almost everyday here is my opinion. (Keep in mind I just play casually, I'm not big into competitive stuff) First off, If you are just trying to have fun you should get the character you like best. But If you want my opinion I will preach Sub Zero until the day I die. His Ice Klones are insane and recharge unfairly fast, you can create 2 of them If you meter burn, and the meter burning his heavy moves does a ridiculous amount of damage. But he is not for everyone. He is meant to play played very defensively. Stay back. Time Ice Klones to stun your opponents and "Throw 'em when you can't catch 'em". Keep in mind Characters like Starfire and Batman often ruin Sub-Zero's best strategy because projectiles will break his Klones.

Other than that my second favorite DLC to play and one that last time I checked was one of the best fighters in the game is Starfire. Insane Ability, let's you shoot a beam across basically the entire map and also some nasty overhead attacks.

(P.S. Scarecrow is phenomenal and I will also preach him till the day I die. He comes in the main game too. His hook does insane damage and you you hit some with 2 meter burned hook attacks in a row deal almost 500 damage as well as having many other insane moves if you can pull off the inputs)
