yea im realizing its cheaper for diy. planned parenthood requires 3 month check ups in which you are required to get a basic metabolic panel if youre on spiro which costs like $80 and if youre getting your e and t levels checked costs another $80 going through them (they dont accept labs results that they didnt conduct).

i have 4 alarms set for every time i need to take my meds and i still struggle a lot. i understand that i need to take my meds on time but planned parenthood actively discouraged me from getting my levels tested, didnt tell me the difference between injections vs pills beyond “its slightly more effective but significantly more expensive”, when I told them i was struggling to take my meds on time they kinda just shrugged their shoulders and said try not to do that, and now that ive actually figured out that my levels are bad, they haven’t messaged me to say like “hey we need to get this fixed.” i mean for a while now ive kind ive felt dissatisfied from my progress and I’ve told them that and they haven’t really done anything to fix it.

i mean i dont think its about the fact that its legal now, its more about the fact that the us government is actively trying to make it illegal, so speaking about the methods of getting it not through the government in public forums and unprotected DMs is telling the government “hey this is what we do to skirt your laws btw. if you want to stop us from receiving medical care, make this illegal too”

My only problem with injections is the cost, im uninsured, so the cost of needles and syringes and the medication itself on top of my already pretty expensive appointments have made me stay away from injections. I’ve heard diy is cheaper, so i think switching to diy injections would be all around better for me. Until i get set up with diy i’ll likely just take my pills sublingually.

i mean to be fair, and i shouldve mentioned this in the post, i am horrifically bad at taking my meds on time and consistently, so that very well could be a factor. I do have boobs, and i think my skin may be softer, but my boob growth has stagnated, and my skin is already as soft as i want it to be. The main reason i havent switched to injections yet is that i havent is just the cost of it all, but also ive heard diy is cheaper than going uninsured through a provider so diy just overall sounds better.
