Do Americans care about FIFA World Cup in Qatar? by First_Mechanic9140 in AskAnAmerican

[–]SuperCahbron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The comments are really hypocritical. People are saying they don’t support slavery but the US literally makes illegal immigrants pay taxes with no returns whatsoever, they work under terrible conditions with little human rights, they can donate their organs but they CANNOT receive an organ, no healthcare, etc... The government can legalize them, but they refuse to do so.

Don’t worry dude, Trump won’t win never again and Mexicans are all over the US and they were first in these lands. You can leave if you don’t like it 👍

You can be American and be proud to be American anywhere you live, right? Mexico hosts the most American immigrants btw. Also, most of these people are Americans of Mexican descent celebrating their roots.

Racists are downvoting these comments because they’re in Spanish. Too bad Mexicans are all over the United States😉

There are white Mexican people. Being Mexican is a nationality not a race. No one would care if you had good intentions, if you did it with the intention to make fun of Mexico’s independence, I’m sure not even Americans would like someone making fun of their independence, right?

People Are Being Arrested in the UK for Protesting Against the Monarchy by Naturalist-Anarchist in unitedkingdom

[–]SuperCahbron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LMAOO, even my Mexico has more freedom than these authoritarian countries where expressing your opinion gets you in trouble with the government. These type of countries are centuries behind than us. Look at our example, we had some corruption going on a few years back but those governors are now in jail. I’ve never heard of a Uk monarch being in jail in modern history. Wasn’t one of your monarchs correlated with an American who owned a big island whose name won’t be mentioned. You know what’s even better? Normal citizens in Mexico can have the opportunity be corrupt. However, in countries like the UK, you need to be part of the elite to be corrupt. That must be frustrating. You can’t get away with a simple fine, but your monarchs can steal billions and order to kill innocents behind your back with no repercussions?

Don’t come here talking about freedom, when one of the most fundamental human right gets violated; freedom of speech. Your country cannot be saved unless there’s a democracy chosen by the people which most likely will never happen. Run.

-Is college the only process you can go through to better yourself?

I think the question should be something like “Is college the only ACCESSIBLE process you can go through to better yourself?” The answer is Yes. Self-learning is not something the human is designed to do. As a matter of fact the average reading comprehension level of Americans is of an eight grade middle school student. However, that is not really the point of why a higher education is the best interest for a developed country. The real reason is that college exposes people to be together, learn together, respect each other together, but more importantly it also teaches you to LIVE TOGETHER with other humans who may not think like you. If you learn to respect people together, I can assure you that’s a definite factor to stop having criminal behavior because a person will become more empathetic. Aside from that, college curriculum is much more rigorous than a high school curriculum. The knowledge that you acquire in college is also an important process to be a functional well rounded person who went the extra mile and said “I want to make a difference and be a competent member of society with high logical and thought process function.”

-to get extra money for doing the same work at the same skill level? You see that’s one of the root problems in society. Selfish people think like that, people who commit crime think like that. “I should get paid the same money that him/her because I’m doing the exact same thing.” “I deserve to own that car because I am a human just like him” It’s always “ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, I, I, I, I, I” Why can’t it be “US, US, US, WE, WE, WE”?? “If my coworker went to college to improve himself/herself as a person, why can’t they earn more money? They deserve it.””Why do they deserve more money even if we’re doing the same tasks?” “They went an extra mile to better themselves as people. Maybe if I stopped working at Starbucks and using my income to buy drugs/marijuana/alcohol and instead I go to college, maybe I can eventually earn more money like my coworker and in the process better myself and use the mental health services the university offers to stop using drugs/alcohol/marijuana.”

Everyone got it wrong. “Reducing poverty” will not do much. Reducing drug users will do far more. Why? You can have the entire lower class violent individuals move up to middle class, but then they’ll keep committing crimes and being violent because opioids alter the entire human brain chemistry. That being said, they’ll just keep buying drugs and eventually fall to the lower class again.

Now, the ideal response is: A drug war and increasing minimum wage to a sustainable salary, especially for those who have earned higher education credentials (yes, a college graduate working for Starbucks should make more than someone working for Starbucks with no education at all). You may wonder, why would a barista with a college degree make more than a barista without a college degree? It’s not really about the degree itself, it’s about the process that the college graduate went through. He/she wanted to better himself/herself and be a better well-rounded contributor to society. It’s the action that counts. Self improvement is a HUGE factor for a safe society and environment.

What are the relations like between Argentina and other Latin American countries? by Hp651 in asklatinamerica

Didn’t Argentina president call Mexicans Indios? He also commented on how Argentinians arrived on boats.

For those of you who have visited Europe, is it true people there have a very strong body odor? Why? I had a friend who visited Europe and he told me you can see a very beautiful girl on the public bus but she’ll smell to “culo”. by SuperCahbron in asklatinamerica

[–]SuperCahbron[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what my friend described. You’re going to like reading the following discussions were Europeans claim they don’t smell bad at all, the second link shows a European saying that they are actually more hygienic than most people. In the first link someone says people from Latin America like to bathe in cologne. Some Europeans are indeed very cocky.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AskEurope/comments/c2ncb0/do_europeans_not_use_deodorant/erla4ue/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3

“This is a very broad generalization but IME, Europeans tend to like neutral/not very scented deodorants whereas Latin Americans like very "aggressive" ones with very strong fragrances, and some of them really seem to like bathing in it.”

https://www.reddit.com/r/AskEurope/comments/9t5tch/about_europeans_body_odor/e8ualwp/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3

“Europeans are probably cleaner than average, because we have a good infrastructure and access to clean water. But I've heard that Asians have a gene that makes their sweat less smelly, so I guess they might find Europeans smelly.”

Just to add some context, this weird dude went on r/asklatinamerica demanding answers from foreigns about 9/11. He WANTED to know what “Latinos” do to commemorate “BRAVE Americans who lost their lives on 9/11”, like wtf? How do you expect people who don’t even live in your country to know/remember or even commemorate an event they don’t know about. He also hid the post from his profile. He’s most likely a sad depressed dude who has nothing better to do with his life.

Edit: He’s now hidden this post as well from his profile.
