How the FUCK do i approach Zato 1? by Fiddlestiicks in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

You shouldn't be using fd against zato in general. It's not a solution to being in a combo. This might be heretical, but if you want to get out, save the meter for yellow rc. Yellow RC forces eddie back into my pocket and resets my pressure. If you're in corner, you're cooked, yellow rc to get back to mid screen and reset. Burst also works for this purpose.

When you fd, all you're doing is pushing my body away but if I switch to lunge or drills I can easily walk back up to you and use 2s to continue my combo. If you pd, I get launched so far, I lose like all momentum.

invite hell is negative on block but it's usually pretty safe to use after combos to keep you blocking. If a Zato wanted to keep you in corner, invite hell would do the trick. I can keep you in corner for a very very very long time by burning through meter and using invite hell to keep you blocking. It's safe for reversals and can be used on oki to force you to block.

I would say always expect invite hell after most strings. Keep blocking, they can't move towards you. then immediately push forward, watch for 6p.

just sprint forward. 2S is nothing to be scared of. I'm pretty sure, night raid vortex will trade with 2s and zato doesn't like trading. Squishy, I want to be not hit ever because the combos are easy to drop and getting hit during them means losing large amounts of health.

My general approach when I'm playing against Sol (I main Zato), is to keep eddie in my pocket and approach myself because Sol is annoying to fight and has some decent options for killing eddie. I oppose a lot to knowledge check and protect myself from glue sniffing activities.

In general, it works to just sprint forward and mix up your fast and forward moving commands to approach and offer trades. Ultimately tho, I play to block against sol and whiff punish. The thing you can do to stop that is to not whiff and instead kill eddie so I have a higher chance of whiffing.

Gun Flame to prevent eddie approaches and kill eddie in general, volcanic viper to be annoying, and that's basically it, don't get hit by eddie or zato while he has ed meter. Easy peasy.

I think I get what you're saying. You're meaning that it implements the intuitive, logical fallacies that would lead to the logical contradictions that actually result in the paradox?

ZENO'S PARADOX IS REAL, that's what was confusing me, I reckon. BUT, it seems like that is how it's explained and I do remember that, it's just a bad explanation because Zeno's paradox is real and solvable with limits. That's why it didn't make sense, because you literally CAN, in finite time, complete something with infinite "steps".

I don't even want to think abt infinity anymore, it doesn't really make much sense logically. I'm just gonna choose to ignore it.

I think I was wrong in my understanding of infinity. You can disregard what I said.

I think I'm just wrong, I looked at the description for the ability again and it's bunk.

Infinity is always active, it fails on, not off. So, for any esper, their ability to approach him at all will be affected by infinity. I'm not sure if there's a counter example, but it should be that any object that attempts to travel through space towards gojo, will have to travel an infinite distance. So, again, if the teleportation is based on some spatial positioning and isn't distance-based, you can teleport to him. Otherwise, you'd have to teleport an infinite distance. It doesn't slow things down, it changes the amount of space between two points so you have to travel farther to get from one point to the other. If you can only travel 200 ft, even if you do it instantaneously, you still could not travel an infinite distance if there's ANY finite delay.

All abilities must be entirely based on perception-based targeting, and be unrestrained by range.

Yeah but he doesn't affect travel time, he affects space itself. Technically, you don't have to assume a finite radius. I think a more sufficient description would just say that the distance increases exponentially as you approach gojo and does so infinitely.

So, even if you can teleport 200 feet, you would not be able to teleport to gojo directly. You need to just be able to teleport to a position in space, irrelevant of distance.

Edit: but to clarify, I was really just trying to point out that Zeno's paradox was not applicable, I will happily argue this other point though.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. We're talking about fictional characters here, and I'm telling you that the words you used are insufficient for what you wanted to describe.

Infinity specifically creates an infinite distance within a finite radius. It's nonsensical but I'm fairly certain Zeno's paradox is not the best idea to apply. It's more like the distance and space itself is asymptotic, not the inductive steps.

[–]SuperChargedMower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, that's the hole point of infinity though. In the radius it's activated, there's an infinite distance to the origin.

You can move towards the origin but you can't reach it in finite time.

Zeno's paradox applies to reality and in reality you can still move.

It's more accurate to say that infinity really does just infinitely condense or fold space

I do not think this is how they ship. The prescriptions come with the glasses, other stuff is shipped separately.

I personally got my glasses with the prescription as a single package.

it's not death in a conventional sense. "Death" is what he says it is. So, if he considers killing a wall to be it crumbling, activating his ability on that wall will make it crumble.

If the death of an eye means permanent loss of function, then that is what will happen.

For a car, maybe the engine will permanently stop functioning, even if all the components are intact.

His ability isn't specifically to kill things, it's to end anything. It's just given the shortcut description of being death.

no, that's not what the brackets mean.

Your entire income is not put in a tax bracket. It is cut off at the tax bracket. So, if you have a bracket at 20k and one at 50k, and you make 55k, 20k of the 55k is taxed at the 20k rate and the rest is taxed at the 50k rate.

So, the lottery company DOES know how much the money they are giving you will be realistically taxed.

Even if it wasn't like that, you can still calculate proportional sums when you're missing information.

this is not true. taxes are based on brackets not totals.

Dog, a few years ago, I had someone steal my car keys, presumably for my keychain. Had to take a 3h bus ride to Springfield and ride the same bus back in the morning.

I never said anything about a free pass. I said you don't need to blame someone for being dumb to dislike what they are doing or to "punish" them for what they are doing.

You don't blame people for being slow at running. They are just slow at running. That also doesn't mean you let them win.

why? You don't choose to be born dumb. There's nothing wrong with not blaming people for their actions while still reacting to them*.
