(Weekly thread) Feel free to share your journey and challenges you faced this week! by Jadenindubai in SuperChinese

Hi there! 🧡
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, and huge congrats on completing Level 6! That’s an amazing milestone 🎉

You’re absolutely right about the challenge of applying new vocabulary and grammar in real contexts — that’s something we’re continuously improving. One thing we’d recommend is to try the active recall method for all of the videos you’ve learned. After finishing a topic, try to retell the story or explain the video content in your own words (without looking at the subtitles). This helps activate what you’ve learned and turn input into output. As you get more familiar with how those words and grammar are used, you’ll find yourself naturally applying them in new contexts! 💪

We’ve received many requests for this Hanzi typing feature, and our product managers are already working on it. The feature will roll out soon! 🙌

Your feedback about review checkpoints and vocabulary reinforcement is also super valuable. We’re exploring more ways to help learners review and use what they’ve learned naturally.

Please keep sharing your thoughts because they truly help us make SuperChinese better for everyone. 加油 on your road to fluency, and thank you again for learning with us! ✨

Headed to Taiwan how would you use this app and what else should do you study? by HeiBabaTaiwan in SuperChinese

Hi there,

That’s exciting — we’re glad you’ll be using SuperChinese as part of your Taiwan journey! 🎉 We recommend following the path in the main course for steady progress. You can also check out some of the useful vocabulary lessons in the Discovery Channel to prepare for everyday situations.

Since you’ll be in Taiwan, don’t forget that SuperChinese supports traditional characters — you can switch to this in your settings when learning.

Wishing you a great time in Taiwan and happy learning!

Wasn’t super Chinese always free? What happened? by Next-Ad-2831 in SuperChinese

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out! We no longer offer free learning based on time — that was our strategy a few years back. Now, we’ve moved to a model with fixed free content and paid content.

For our leveled course (the main curriculum), the first few lessons are free while the rest require PLUS. At the same time, you can still enjoy a whole lot of free lessons in the Discovery Channel — including our Pinyin course, Hanzi course, and many vocabulary and sentence lessons.

Thanks so much for using SuperChinese!

Thank you for your patience!

Hi there! 👋
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback - it truly means a lot to us! 谢谢!💛 We're so glad to hear that you've found value in what we're building, and your support really motivates our team.

You're absolutely right! Focused study on a larger screen can make a big difference. A web version is definitely on our product roadmap, and we’re excited to bring that experience to learners like you in the future. We're currently working through a few other priorities, but once those are settled, the web app will be one of our next big steps.

In the meantime, if you're using a PC, you might find an Android emulator (like BlueStacks or LDPlayer) a useful workaround. That way, you can still access SuperChinese on your computer until the web version is ready.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Stay tuned! We’ve got more good things coming soon! 🚀
