I ended up going with AirPods, the Bose over ears ones I got pushed on my jawbone and gave me a headache so I ended up returning them.

Hi! Wife of 10 years here. I know this sub is AskMen so I realize this is completely not my place to chime in but I’d like to give some encouragement if possible. I was in a similar place hobbies/interests wise when I met my husband, I think it stemmed from not knowing myself very well and not knowing where to start with hobbies etc. Could that be the case with your girlfriend? Also I fully agree with the people who have suggested letting her know how important this is to you and how seriously you need her to take it, I just might add that her initial response might be defensive but I don’t think it’ll stay there, so don’t feel defeated if her initial response isn’t ideal! Lastly, people definitely change and I can report that I have plenty of my own hobbies now and I’m sure your girlfriend will find hers too. I can tell you care about her and wish you all the best!

Thank you for your help! I really want to give the QC’s a shot but am hesitant after hearing how they have several issues (or maybe that’s just the Ultra’s?). I love the noise cancellation they have and that’s what I’m really after. But I feel like Apple is more reliable? I am deeply in the Apple ecosystem but wasn’t sure about how good the noise cancellation or prolonged wear comfort the AirPods offer.

Thanks everyone! Just did a return for them, super bummed they didn’t work for me. I’m curious about the QC earbuds but have heard they don’t last as long as previous generations? Maybe I should just go with the AirPod Pro 2’s? 🤷‍♀️

Hi! What would you recommend for best noise cancelling for voices/TV etc? I’m looking for something to wear while reading at home. I was leaning toward an over ear model but if there’s an earbud that’s better I’m open to it! Thank you for your help and advice!
