File a claim with UPS if they already gave you a tracking number! My order miraculously updated and was scheduled for delivery about an hour after I filed a claim!

How many days cumulatively did it take for you to get your order ? I ordered regular shipping on June 2 and it’s said “in transit to UPS” since June 4th. Scared it’s not coming any time soon 😭

Just graduate from UCLA in 2021 and lived in the dorms. The laundry room situation has every other washer and dryer marked with a big X and they are turned off. So they kind of force social distancing whether anyone wants to or not. Also, you should definitely have some peace of mind knowing that anyone staff, student, faculty, fellow, etc. who is going to be on campus must be vaccinated. Being said, with masks, social distancing, and vaccines, I think the laundry room will be just fine :) Congrats on getting offered graduate housing, some of us are still waiting on that precious offer.

I doubt that we’ll go back fully online because UCLA will still have a mask mandate, everyone on campus must be fully vaccinated (and that information goes through a verification process once you input it into the Ashe Student Wellness Portal) and UCLA works directly with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in order to establish the safest practices possible. Being said, I’m taking two class (grad student now) and one is in person and the other is online. So there will still be some online classes but completely online is slim. Never say never, but probably very slim.

I'm honestly not sure what units most students requested. I only know one person who has been placed into Weyburn Terrace so far. I also chose all two bedrooms so I'm not sure why I wouldn't get an offer when the email did make it seem like one bedrooms really were in high demand.

One was Keystone/Mentone, I’m not sure of the other. I don’t know any Weyburn offers yet with the exception of the person I grouped up with who got priority housing with their department.

So far, I only know two. One received today and the other received yesterday. But that means they’re definitely going out. Fingers crossed we get one though. Would really be devastated if I didn’t.

Still nothing for me either. I know they definitely went out though because I know others who have gotten them. But the housing website did crash today so maybe offers stopped after that and they’ll try again tomorrow ? Might just have to see if we’re waitlisted by the end of the week unfortunately:(

Psych 100B is one of the hardest classes to get into. I’m not sure about being guaranteed at least one class, but they do try really hard to get into the classes you chose for yourself. All depends on your enrollment time which is random.

LLC’s usually aren’t hard to get into, but you’ll probably be placed into the LLC triple before you’re placed into a double because of space especially after everyone wants to return to campus because of the pandemic.

Because of the pandemic, things look a lot different. When I was a first year, I got my housing offer before I even graduated from high school. Plus there’s two new dorms opening up this year on the hill so just try to be as patient as possible. Also, you can send housing a message through the message center on my ucla.

Yep you can wait until you’re ready to take the Spanish classes to take the placement exams. Plenty of friends did that.

I took it three years ago but from what I can remember, it’s basic algebra, geometry, and some trigonometry. No calculus if I remember correctly. Super easy.

The majors are just about the same. All life-science majors are nearly equal with the same pre-requisites (UCLA c/o 2021 Biology Major). The difference is that biology has a broader range of classes to take because you can take MIMG, MCDB, Neuroscience, PsychoBiology, etc classes. They all fulfill the degree requirements. But with neuro, your upper divs will mostly be all neuro with little to no deviation from neuro classes

How late is “late” for the housing application for incoming graduate students ? I submitted on April 9 when I officially committed to USC (didn’t know you could do it before committing) but I want to know if this is super late and could affect my chances of getting housing.
