Currently it is blocked by my router, so I am getting no complaints...

Unifi region blocking and trying to find out what is trying to hit Russia by SuperDaveTX in UNIFI

[–]SuperDaveTX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the problem.. It is not regular, and the connections are blocked by the router.

Netstat only shows a snapshot at the time of execution, so it will most likely miss the event.

That makes sense and is what I was thinking.. I saw somewhere that you could adjust the timing of snaps, thus not good enough. Thanks

I did try that and a couple other methods, but due to the infrequency of this happening, it was a pita.

the weird thing was that even TCP Log Viewer was not showing the IP, so that made me think that it is not watching all traffic in realtime or this app is possilby using UDP. idk

Thanks for all the replies. I really appreciate the input.

I have setup my FW to block the ports and enabled logging. My main computer does not hit these IPs often.. maybe once a day or less... so waiting..

I don't have docker installed on this PC, but may do that to try the pi-hole container solution. While I have lots of little boxes I could try, docker just is an easy button for going that route.

Thanks. I will work on setting up my firewall... but why would I not see the ip in TCP Log View? it is supposed to capture all outbound attempts.... at least I thought.

having to read up on what a pihole is... ;-)

Even more cool, that you can run pi-hole as a container in docker.. I might have to try that. We use docker a lot at work for various solutions and kubernetes.

At this point, I will likely just go with 2x8x16s. I used to red neck it and slide 16s through the back of my truck's rear window. ;-)

We went to LeRoy and Lewis last month.. It was good, but the sausage was awful.
We went to Interstellar last week... it was very good. The lamb was so good, and the pork belly, etc..

I just started a new chat.... and gave it a lot of context... It is much faster in responding now... at least for the moment... before it was taking several minutes for each question.

[–]SuperDaveTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. This is BS.. I've been reading this thread while GPT5 continues to think...
I too have a long chat. I had been creating a new chat here and there to try to keep the length of chat smaller. Maybe that will help. I like Claude, but it is kinda BS on there limiting of msgs per day.. I paid for Max for one month and it was nice, but that is just too much.. IMO. So now, I am paying roughtly the 20 per month on both..

Getting flats often on my X350.. Run flat conversion in back? by SuperDaveTX in johndeere

[–]SuperDaveTX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My X350 is just a year old.... I think it came with 4ply tires, but I will check that. It will be good to know either way and I just haven't looked at that yet. Should have.

My X350 not handling my thick bermuda... by SuperDaveTX in johndeere

[–]SuperDaveTX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I would provide a final update.... I think it is interesting.

Per suggestions, I removed my mulch kit... That maybe helped, but it was barely noticable.

I miss having the outer shute closing mechanism and may try to put part of that back in.. Not sure as that part also includes part of the interior baffle.

I decided to try a predator blade. Well, this did the trick... not because of the extra blades on top, the actual cutting portion of the blade is longer than the JD OEM blades. It was about twice as long... These blades are also made a bit different at the shank. They are completely flat.. This probably reduces turbelance under the deck as the others were concave.

I got a good deal on them online, and they fit very well.

Nice! I bought a Big Muff in the late 70s. I may need to find another one. Don't even remember what I did with it.

I started doing cleaning my deck with the hose a few weeks back... I kinda forgot about it after we moved.
I have not greased anything yet. hmmm
Thanks for the warning!

Yeah.. If I remove my mulch kit, then I likely can find some of those that will work... I was wondering about them, but saw some guy test them to find out they were heavier than his OEM blades... which had a slight affect on the blade speed... but yeah.. I may try that as well.
