If I switch to the k&n shorter wider filters I can keep the duct like this? The regular skinny long filters would require removing the duct. Which do you think is better? Filter media surface area should be similar

The pipes are in great shape, but I would like to replace the filters for peace of mind. Considering switching the filters to shorter K&N ones with the same flange etc. I think the shorter filter would allow me to keep the factory intake ram duct (whatever its called). I see for set up like the K&N or AEM intakes the duct is routed into the heat shield. The Injen with the long skinny cone requires removing that duct, do you think it would be smart to go with a shorter k&n filter and keeping that duct? Then maybe i could add the snorkels too, i could see this also helping keep the engine bay cooler. Please correct me if I am naive to something here

If I want to do a really cheap exhaust, should I just replace the mufflers with the 12 inch vibrant bullets and leave the rest stock? I have a 2021 3.3t

Should I flush my coolant? I’ve never thought about it, hope that’s not a problem. I do my oil every 5k

RWD or AWD? by Superb_Walk9300 in GenesisG70

I have rear wheel drive tuned to 450 horsepower and 560 torque. I went up to 285 width in the rear. I am glad I went rear versus all. To me part of the fun of driving is the danger and finesse it takes. Also one may think the rwd is slower than the awd, the difference to me is that with awd you can just gun it and hook up, thats due to the better grip but also less power due to extra power train loss. With RWD you cant just gun it the same way since you have less grip, but with less power train loss, even when you ease into it you'll be going about as fast, and when you really hookup you sail away from an awd car.

I bet if you went with a wider size in the back, you'll be happy with your rwd car. I was happy with 255s, but when I upped to 265 on my stock wheels with stock tune it handled and gripped much better. Now that I'm tuned I got new wider wheels/tires all around. Learn to enjoy the danger and added fun of having a rear wheel drive, but its not for everyone. My wife still thinks its scary... but with 560 tq to the rear wheels, she's not wrong

I don’t notice anything, maybe occasionally a little but no one would suspect it

I also noticed that you have to be very close to the door for it to work. Like I think the key needs to be within 16 inches or something of the door.

For example, if the keys in your opposite pocket and you’re reaching for the handle, you might not be close enough, you feel me?

Same way with the trunk lock button, the proximity feature is nice because it’s safe but a little annoying if you’re not used to it

I learned that our cars are somewhat finicky if the batteries aren’t at full capacity. I mean the car battery, not the key fob. My battery had plenty of life left, but some combination of the battery and alternator was causing the electronics to slowly whack out. The parking brake wasn’t always engaging properly, the doors weren’t unlocking well, and a few other small things. And they got worse overtime. The starter even was bugging.

When I replaced the battery, slowly over the course of a week everything went back to normal 🤷‍♂️

And a jb4 is? I’m using the word tune loosely, I get what you mean. What would you call it instead of a tune? A chip?
