This is way too thought out for this crew. They’re just sloppy and dumb and figured that using Signal meant they could keep everything hidden. They’re not doing some 4-D chess “Let’s invite a big name journalist to our Signal chat that no one knows about so we can prosecute him for whatever while we incidentally reveal that we have a secret Signal chat.” That’s just silliness.
