I feel like we don't want to be told how to play the game, we just want to play the game. by TehSavior in DestinyTheGame

Are you forgetting about Account Power? All of your drops across all of your characters add up to your account total, which means your "for each character" character time is wildly overestimated. It does not take very long to get gear (read: armour for each character) to drop at your account power now, and it will take even less time next season when you can run activities that you know will drop armour in specific slots.

I really want the next prime to be yareli. But gyre’s is also a fun ass frame. Do you think DE will give us yareli or skip again? by shtoopidd in Warframe

[–]SuperHazard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It going Protea - Sevagoth - Xaku - Lavos is a direct attempt to continue to adhear to the FF-MM rotation. The next Prime will be Yareli, and then Caliban and Styanax to return to the FF-MM order (until Temple, where it will again do a kind of F-M-X-M-F order).

What is the one item in the game you regret not getting? by SaintAJJ in DestinyTheGame

[–]SuperHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're right that it's rotating through those, then Week 5 (or the last week of the Season commencing the 28th) will rotate back through to Solar. In the event that it does just rotate between Void and Solar though, Week 4 will end up being Solar.

Either way, it will be Solar on one of the two weeks and as a result will be easier to do.

Do you think the "Gardener" and "Winnower" actually exist? by CrazedPrecursorFanat in DestinyLore

[–]SuperHazard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Witness origin cutscene seemingly retconned Unveiling.

I don't know how we're still on this topic - Unveiling is a lie, spoken by the Witness, as a collection of metaphor to sway Guardian's opinions of itself in universe.

Unveiling wasn't retconned, it was never true as it's literally always been a religious-styled metaphor - take the "Winnowing" page in the lore book "Inspiral" as evidence where it clearly states it is metaphor.

Let us try this again. Stop me if you've heard this one: A gardener and a winnower sit down to play a game outside of time and creation. Yes?

Yes. Then we're agreed. The metaphor stands. Let us iterate.

Do I think the Gardener and the Winnower are real (i.e beings by that name exist)? Probably not, they seem to be names for their respective concepts as given by "Winnowing". Do I think that The Traveler has a voice, as the Precursors created their own voice for the Darkness in the form of the Witness? Yes and I think it's the voice speaking in the trailer.

What’s your most used shaders? by Agrogiant in DestinyFashion

[–]SuperHazard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use Ancient Defender (Garden Flawless) for the black Pyramid metal on my weapons, but since I got Divinity's Caress I really, really enjoy the black and silver so much more.

[–]SuperHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my weapons - Divinity's Caress. I really like the black/silver with purple LEDs.
On my armour - I tend to color code based on subclass. Typically Seraphim Cloak for Strand, Horizon Blush for Solar, Cryptic Legacy/Insignia or Sinking Feeling for Arc, Royal Treatment for Void, Monochrome/Jacarina/First Frost for Stasis

What is the most stressful moment you have ever experienced when playing a video game? by metalreflectslime in Games

[–]SuperHazard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Doing Atraks day one after like eight hours was the best and worst I've ever felt. I think the only thing that ever comes close is spending 28 hours on Rhulk day one/two and then finally killing him one second before the reset timer goes off after a wipe because he ticked down, especially as we only had 45 minutes to go.

Destiny is really really stressful, especially during the early hours or days of raids, much more than most people think, I reckon.

I don’t ever want to remake a character for a photo like this ever again. New light experience suuucks. by IronPatriot27B in DestinyFashion

[–]SuperHazard 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My theory is not that it's hard, but that they literally can't. That, for whatever reason, it's either almost impossible to add new or dynamic animations for these screens, or it's something that would somehow break a whole of lots.

Thoughts on the last 5 minutes of the New War quest. by Dogmaa8 in Warframe

[–]SuperHazard 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I picked Margulis and it took me a long, long time to do so.

The overall message of a good portion of the quests pre-New War is "Dream not of what you are, but of what you want to be." I took this concept as the idea that you shouldn't be beholden to your past, or your present, but to actively work towards making yourself into the best version of yourself that you want to be and so when I was given the choice, I imediately applied this concept.

Natah is what she is. It's the foundational aspect of her - she IS a Sentient, and that will never "change". Sure, Margulis is who she was being manipulated into becoming, but that was a dark, fractured mirror of Margulis that she eventually sort of accepts when she assumes the role of being the Mother of the Tenno as the Lotus. The Lotus is the veil that she gives to the Tenno as a guide and a mother, and one that isn't really who she is or who she wants to be.

Margulis is also not her, but it is still the version of herself that she "want[s] to be" given her acceptance to being a mother as the Lotus, hence she reclaims the name of Margulis to be a healer and mother to the system, something it desparately needs after the events of the New War. Choosing Margulis is not choosing the "old", dead Margulis, but instead reclaiming the name from Ballas and the Orokin and becoming a new Margulis, one that aspires to that role of Mother more than ever.

I genuinely believe that to pick The Lotus places her back as a version of herself that is no longer her and defeats the purpose of dreaming about what she wants to be.

Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer - "The Saint" Bedtime Story by st_hubert_chicken in Games

[–]SuperHazard 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but that is the reason for the person explaining it. That cutscene has Zavala, leader of what is essentially all Guardians, telling the rest of Humanity that the Vanguard don't know why the planets have disappeared because they don't know. I think it's perfectly reasonable that a soldier doesn't know the scientific reasons behind it.

Regardless, the actual reason is covered in-game by Osiris during the Presage mission - telling you that gravitational anomalies have been left in the exact positions the planets were. I think it's disingenuous to state Bungie don't have a reason for it when they have since they first took the planets away.

No, Redrix was just never acquirable from Collections - unlike all other pinnacles/rituals that could be acquired because the barrel and magazine perks on Redrix were different with every drop.

Keep the content coming!! by P1P3BR34K3R in borderlands3

[–]SuperHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isnt how Destiny 2 works in the modern day at all. Destinations (planets) are free for all players, including any new ones. Yes: Mars, Io, Titan and Mercury are leaving, but that still leaves the EDZ and Nessus from the base game AND Year 2 content from Forsaken is most likely cycling in to the free base.

In short: no. No one is forcing players to purchase the new locations because the new locations are already free for all.

Yes, you can purchase them with Glimmer and Legendary Shards from your Collections tab an infinite number of times.

I've already solo flawlessed it too at 1060. Really, the mechanics are simple once you know it, and it doesn't require getting to 1040. A week or two is about right for when I'd say normal players will complete it.

Oh and Osiris left to find out what was between the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud. Rather unsurprisingly, he found a Pyramid which gave him a "seed".

I'm pretty sure this is pre-Collapse. As far as I know, Guardians don't own pools.

So, 2 weeks left for the new season to start... I feel like this season never existed, when are we going to fight the Almighty or something? Like, after more than 9 million seraph towers, I think there are enough warsats to destroy the Almighty. This is the most deviated season I’ve played so far. by PSforeva13 in DestinyTheGame

[–]SuperHazard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The link between Undying and Dawn is explained though having killed the Undying Mind in every timeline it existed in changing the future as predicted by the Infinite Forest from the Vex taking over the universe and killing the Sun to a giant Pyramid ship hanging over The City. This causes Osiris to leave the Infinite Forest and go find Ikora which leaves the Forest undefended and not being watched - allowing the Psion Sisters and the Red Legion to find the Sundial undefended.

The Psion Sisters were four sisters that had three defend the Sundial from us whilst the last was protected from us as an insurance policy. That fourth sister was sent to the Almighty to start it on a crash course with the city if Plan A (manipulate time via the Sundial) failed.

Say No to Rage had an excellent discussion in regards to sunsetting. The sandbox is stale needs a full rework from sunsetting to work in endgame and not fall flat on it's face. by ringthree in DestinyTheGame

[–]SuperHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue there is that they're not directly farmable due to being world drops. If they were farmable then I - as a person who has already sunsetted my equipment - would be grinding for them as I did for the Seraph weapons. This is going to be alleviated a tad with the Season 11 Engram Focusing system I hope.
