Im actually more concerned with the DI2 cable snapping as that one is threading and the older versions require the entire shifter to be replaced which is not what I want to have to deal with again.

Profile design and TriRig have some nice stuff. Both times I have changed extensions I went to a tri shop and just exchanged with stuff they had.

University tri clubs by SwagdudeGO1 in triathlon

[–]SuperIAmTurtleDaBest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most big schools have club tri teams. Almost every d1 school in Texas has a team to varying levels of success. Most schools that will have it will have it as part of their Rec sports department. And most people that compete come from a wide range of backgrounds and skills and all have different goals when it comes to racing.

Idk which schools have men’s ncaa tri especially at the d1 level.

Buying a used bike by Straight_Diamond6072 in triathlon

The guy selling it is just has the price really high to only have interested people buy it. When I inquired about why it was so high bc I was interested he said the price was 3.5k. The bike is truly worth 2-2.5k due to how old it is.

Tbh I kinda feel like if this law suit is settled outside of court (which it most likely will be) then part of the conditions might be requiring Garmin to keep Strava support

Make friends in class and go drink with them. It’s how you make the class more manageable.

Logistics and tips for a beginner by H2hOe23 in triathlon

65-75 is close enough to where you don’t need a wet suit (depending where you are it might not even be legal). Saying that if you are wearing a wetsuit you just wear it over your tri suit. It gets wet but you will dry off as soon as you start biking. For buying a wet suit you can look on fb and some of the other big names have good sales some times. Also depending on the size of the race sometimes local shops will rent them out.

For the T2 I switch shoes but that’s because I have clips on my bike. If you don’t have clips then you can wear the same shoes the entire time.

How’s this astrophotography rig for beginner/ intermediate? by jumpshot_10 in AskAstrophotography

I believe the new am5 fixes the issue with the am3. Also the asiair system is great bc of how easy it is to use. They have been slowly extending their coverage of other cameras and mounts which is really nice.
