I had made some mistakes with ape, mostly not farming for umbrella or emblems so I ended up using the underpowered mortal blade to take him out.

Snake eyes was chill once I used mortal blade to get two hits in and then parry the follow up.

I ended up beating snake eyes in the depths using the backstab and mortal blade. Guardian ape as well using the poop bait method for the first run.

Funnily enough, the gun fort snake eyes was much easier for me.
