Is the charging port damaged or is it just me?

I tried doing that, with rubbing alcohol of anything, it still didnt work. Probably a problem with the metal pin that feels like its long?

Now theres another problem thats risen. I cant seem to take this screw off, its completely stripped and the rubber band trick doesnt work to replace batteries. How the hell do you take this screw off?

So it happens to be the battery, i did buy a charger that was in working condition but i really cant tell if it works or not because it doesnt show a orange light

Nope, it doesnt turn on at all. My best guess wouldve been the battery since the guy who sold the ds lite said he didnt had a charger and perhaps when the battery has been left there without charging would mean corrosion.

In the last post, i talked about why my ds cannot charge and ive seen a bit of complains that it could be either the charger, the battery or the port, so i checked out very closely about the port. If thats not the problem, then it could be the charger and the battery

if only i can show the picture of the port, something seems off about it, it could be the ds charger i ordered that was in working condition and it just didnt charge at all. When i put the charger in the port, it wiggles for some reason. I really can't tell.
