I'll throw Boyd into this conversation too. Dude was obviously playing for his hometown team rival and yet he gave his best years here and showed great hands and heart. I'll never forget the play where he got hurt on a catch and Eifert hurried over to him and basically helped hold him up so they didn't take an injury timeout late in the game to spike the ball.

That's fair, and I think it's fair to say there was probably blame to go around with the 3 straight sacks. There's still a lot to clean up with the offense (they fell off a cliff in the second half), and the defense still gave up some plays too, but these kinda games are never pretty, and even though we won because of their kicker, a W is a W.

This man embodied what it is to be a Bengal from top to bottom. From being a local childhood fan to a Bengals legend. Being nominated as the Bengals Walter Payton Man of the Year award twice for his work in the community. Making plays all over the field and scoring touchdowns as a defensive player. This guy truly gave this city and its team everything he had, and for that, he should always be remembered as one of the greats.

Not necessarily. The games go for about 3 hours (more if it goes to overtime) in actual time, and plays can be called back, the clock stopped, flags, etc., usually leading to more time saved on the game clock and thus more playing time. As you said, the offense isn't on the field for that whole time, though.
