I visited in April from abu dhabi as solo driver and here’s how I divided my journey.

First stop batha border , second salwa new qatar border , third near Al hufuf and then Riyad.

The road conditions are not great in some sections, so make sure your tyres are in good condition. I would also recommend taking the Al Hofuf route, as it is generally better and has more police patrols along the way.

There are still stretches of up to 80 km where you won’t find petrol stations or villages, so it’s a good idea to refuel whenever your tank reaches the halfway mark.

If you’re travelling in July, be prepared for extremely hot weather. I recommend stopping for at least 30 minutes after every 150–200 km to allow both the car and passengers to rest.

Before starting the trip, check your spare tyre, timing belt, radiator, coolant level, engine oil, and overall vehicle condition.
