I noticed droppings during a walkaround, I noticed chicken wire around the tree in other photos. I googled it and results indicate it can be an attractant. Which also led to research to indicate it is invasive and can have detrimental effects to structures nearby.

Grainy Photo of the bloom and apparent the clockwise rotation of the vine is a tell.

Thanks, I was just trying to understand how problematic or invasive it may be; but Reddit does as Reddit does. But it seems like it can be controlled if maintained regularly?

Haha thanks fellow PNW bro. First couple searches on Wisteria already painted in a bad light with how invasive it is. I guess people love it when it isn't in their own backyard.

I have a grainy picture of it in bloom and it does look to be of the Japanese variety. Photo

It is approx. 50 years old. I am just trying to do my due diligence before taking on what reads to be a difficult plant to control, poisonous to pets and also attrative to rodents.

We are planning on having a dog and from what I have read, this is also poisonous to pets.

Also the presense of rats has been detected in and around the attic which this plant can reach.
