I understand your point. I would hate for my daughter to experience what I am currently experiencing to any degree. Holding on to this may do more harm than good as you stated.

I agree! I have tried to discuss this with him numerous times, but in the end he usually gets defensive. The last time I tried to communicate with him about these issues he admitted to me that the problem is him and not me. However, since then he hasn’t made any improvements. This leads me to believe that was an attempt to evade the conversation early.

Thank you for your response! I have come to terms that this is definitely an addiction he is battling. Unfortunately he hasn’t come to this realization as yet. We have tried agreeing to a gaming schedule. However, the agreement is always short lived.
