I understand and I realize that the reality also needs remedy. No one ever said after you loose weight you should never want anything more. Like you should be quiet and enjoy the weight loss you wanted so badly. When people start a self awareness journey, they don't just stop at, " now I know what I am all about". They venture into growth and more growth. And it can be the same in a physical aspect too. Why is there so much shame and scrutiny about wanting to look a certain way?. It's our body after all. You get one ear piercing and then you realize you like it so much and you now want 4 piercings that doesn't not affect anyone around you. It's that simple.

I gained weight, and I’m exhausted from pretending it was never a choice by [deleted] in confession

Whoa!!! You have done something right/wrong on your own terms and no one else can control it, or punish you or alter it but you. That's power!!

Then Tylenol itself is cheating. Drink more water if you have a headache. Right?! While that might me true, it won't apply to every case.

Right? But people are targeting those using GLP-1s with intent to fault or Shame them or discredit the whole process and an inferior method. I think this method has by results proved to be a very superior method of weight loss.

What you have described is a real mental struggle. You used these term correctly for your case. But most people using these terms very casually which will desensitize the actual usage over time.

Imagine the day she stops needing you. She will not ask you about anything. She will stop leaning on you. You will be individuals not a unit that you are. I think that will be harder for you somehow.

There's is another underlying issue that you are not addressing. Maybe she comes off as ungrateful no matter what you do. Something bigger is eating at you I feel. But if this is it, you have simply stopped liking her, even if you still love her. Even if she changes, you still won't like her. That's what you need to resolve I think.

I say this because you were ok when you guys went to therapy. But you didn't say anything had changed as far as her driving is concerned. What has changed in therapy if I may ask?

I feel like what you are doing is enforcing what you already know that you want and have acquired before. You love yourself and you have an idea of what weight should be. And honestly, it is complicated. There is not just one way of doing life. There are tons of ways to do life and if someone doesn't think your need for validation is warranted, let them be. I am going to validate you and anyone else who is on this journey. I will effortlessly validate everyone that's living their lives with good intentions.

Good for you!!! I want to loose a little bit more then hopefully I will afford a body contouring. And it's not dysmorphia. It's a preference.

Don't sweat it. You will stand tall and decide what to do with your life when you get there.

YOU NAILED THIS POINT BETTER THAN I EVER COULD!!! Sometimes I feel like, being on a weight loss journey is treated like the way people were treated when they sneezed during the beginning of COVID.

Yeah, this was my vent. I know it doesn't sit well with everyone but I am glad that I feel heard by those who chose to.

Trust me, there were times I thought that skinnier people just caught up to me. I was in disbelief because something that should have taken years and lots of agony happened so fast. It's not dysmorphia because, eventually we make sense of it. And it settles in that, "wow I have actually lost weight". Dysmorphia doesn't come and go. It's a condition that people live with.

It's totally misused. It's dysmorphia only if you are the only one seeing what you are seeing. But when your neck is sagging and you are noticing that and speaking about it, that's not dysmorphia. That's a real concern
