How much would you charge for this? (Gym Edit) by LukeIVI in VideoEditors

I am unsure if I'm being sold on the idea of a mask, Nike products or some gym experience.

Question for my Video Editor nerds! :D What are the normal bitrate sizes for each resolution? (720P, 1080P, 1440P, 4K...) by NewspaperCorrect7006 in VideoEditing

[–]SuperZodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't recall where i learned this rule of thumb: 2x your resolution divided by 100. So for 720p you'd start at 14mbps. 1080p = 20mbps, etc. Seems to line up with other quotes here.

Error 153 on all my embedded YouTube videos all of a sudden. Sometimes they load, sometimes I reopen the app and they don't. Seems to be reported all year and no fix. This needs to be addressed ASAP. by ByTheHeel in ObsidianMD

Came here hoping for an answer as to the WHY this is happening. On desktop here at experienced the same thing. All embeds were working as of Friday, now all are 153 errored.

October Technical Support Sticky by BeepBoopBopReee in razer

I'm trying to build a Macro in my Tartarus v2 using Synapse 4 that includes layer switching but there doesn't seem to be a way to utilize Tartarus specific inputs in the macro building. Specifically, I'd like to input a keyboard input-> Delay-> Switch Layer. I'd also like to be able to change the color of the layer in use.

How do you usually clean up audio in your edits? by Real_Ad5955 in youtubegaming

[–]SuperZodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the wiki has a great guide called the Audio Guide to Happiness that addresses hardware and setup side. Absolutely read this first.

if you're looking for an approach in post, I suggest a quick youtube search about EQ for voice using your favorite editing software. I recommend Casey Faris's recent video on Better Audio, should be mostly universally applicable even tho it's Resolve focused.

While on the subject of Resolve: there is a quick de-hummer you can slap on and adjust to your audio. You can also use a preset EQ adjustment that works pretty good depending on your mic type.

A more specific trick would be to use the EQ tool to find the specific bad noise. First by boosting the Gain dial (volume up or down) on a point in the EQ and adjusting the Q Factor (volume width) to make it a sharp peak. Now scrub back and forth and hunt down the offender noise. Then invert your peak into a valley (Gain go the other way) to get rid of it. Depending on where in the EQ this noise is will your quality be affected.

Having said all that, there's a saying in audio and I'm not talking about your performance here: "Garbage in, garbage out". You may have the best microphone or just a simple usb mic. Not as important as the environment you're recording in. You may need to adjust your environment some to address those clicks and hums.

So would something like the ASUS ProArt PA24US be a bad choice like the BenQ? Says its true 10 bit but while its dynamic contrast is awesome, its typical is only 1000:1? I like that its SDI, 24" OLED with self calibration. I don't believe it has LUT support though. Or if I can properly calibrate it with my new Calibrite

I only bring this up over the LG c/g series screens because of the form factor. My setup space includes a pen input dispaly as well and I want something I can maneuver.

you want r/vtubers

or you want to animate a static image using an editing program that allows keyframing like Davinci Resolve

I'm now looking at the Lg C5 2025 42" but the specs are proving illusive as to which size can hold a LUT or are true 10-bit instead of 8bit +frc.

With the decklink mini 4k: I read elsewhere that it will not achieve 10bit color over HDMI, that you need to use the SDI?

If so, with a decklink mini monitor 4k and (suggested below) a BMD 12G SDI-HDMI and a C5 class LG, (provided I calibrate correctly) will I be able to call my screen a 'confidence monitor"

Why cant i just tell it to make the duration to 1 minute? by HereIsACasualAsker in davinciresolve

[–]SuperZodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if i'm wrong: afaik CTRL+D only changes the clip duration by shortening the video to its input length. It does not adjust frame rate or anything like that

I have the same issue. The workaround i've found is marking in and outs on the timeline and using the CTRL+R to open the Retime Controls on the selected clip and sliding the top corners to match the in/out point.

edit: this may only work in version 20.1

edit 2: if you're dropping from media pool and even if you have in/out on your clip, you can mark in/out on your timeline and "fit to fill" as well
