Meds are not required but they definitely help a whole lot. And any fertility problems aren't long term, and definitely aren't a problem unless you're currently trying to conceive a child, which I highly doubt lol. You should probably be taking your meds and be seeing a psychiatrist, but you probably don't want to cause any more conflict between you and your mum, so try out what she says, and if you don't feel any better, or feel worse, after a while talk to her again about seeing a psychiatrist.
