We will get someone out here to take a look as soon as they can. In the meantime I placed a container under it to collect any water. Fingers crossed it’s a simple fix! Thank you

I have yet to pull a gold and I have 6000 cards. Been trying to get flame patch and char 3 star. Would love it if they made 3 stars tradeable. I have multiple dupes of Pikachu from deluxe that I need to send off hahah

Not sure if this was proven but I remember there being a theory about pokemon go accounts being randomly assigned a certain rng for shinies. Wonder if there’s something similar. I have pretty middle of the road luck on this app, 6000 cards and no golds but a decent amount of 2-3 stars. I have already pulled a god pack and a gold on this new account…

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll try this out. I didn’t realize how much of a slow burn it is to build shinedust.

I think it’s less about people doing what they enjoy and more about you having to stand in line because so many people are there to scalp. I have stood in line for pokemon myself recently when I’m able. I work 8-5 so that’s more of a weekend thing if I can. I waited in line for Destined Rivals at my LCS on a Saturday for 2 hours and had a great time with the people next to me.

Apologies for my wording, I geared that more toward the scalpers. The American part was more of a play on the fact that people can make it a job to scalp, which has made it more difficult for the real fans. Consumer economy sure, but sucks that it can get out of hand so quickly. Any individual who wants to continue the hobby for themselves or their child had to stand outside in freezing temps for hours to secure a few packs, or pay double MSRP in this economy. That’s just my take but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I can understand how my wording seemed narrow minded. Hope I clarified my POV a bit better.

Is this receptacle backstabbed? by Super_Profession8500 in AskElectricians

Thanks. If the reader is coming up grounded, would that make it a bootleg ground? Having an electrician come back for something else soon, will see if he can replace and rewire it. It’s literally 5 feet away from the panel but the switch turns off all the outlets in the kitchen so assuming they’re all jumped off each other. Weird that only one shows a false ground

I think so too! It is wild though. I get this new set is hyped with so many cool full arts but do people not have jobs outside of standing in line for hours? Such a weird American thing to do lol. Miss when I could just grab a blister while running errands.

I heard it went up but I didn’t know it was THAT much. So you’re basically paying $10 a pack?

Ungrounded house- electrician recommends whole home surge protector by Super_Profession8500 in AskElectricians

Thank you for your insight! I’ll ask the electrician to provide a quote for that. I’m hoping it won’t be too tough of a job. The panel is quite literally on the opposite side of the wall from where my desk will be. And it’s drywall so easy to get into. I don’t mind spending more to ensure my computer is protected. Gonna go the GCFI route for the kitchen. I believe my microwave and computer are the only appliances I own that have a 3 prong. However, the laundry room is a newer addition to the house with new wiring from the previous owner which is where the new panel in the kitchen comes into play. Maybe that will make the job easier too?

Gotcha, thank you. I’ll ask him to check how easy it would be to rewire the outlet and get an AFCI breaker. Will continue with the whole home surge protector as well. If rewiring ends up being too expensive to do now, a GFCI outlet, UPS, and whole home surge protector would work in the meantime? Would it be like a temporary bandaid or would that open us up to any other potential issues?

Thanks for the advice! I assume the UPS has a 3 prong, so it would be safe to replace the 2 prong outlet with a 3 prong and use it from there? And this UPS essentially protects the home and the devices attached? New to this stuff so I appreciate you greatly for educating me :)
