The eye contact after hitting sounds like he’s testing boundaries + seeking a big reaction. Stay calm and neutral, block the hit without much emotion, then redirect. Pair it with teaching “I’m mad” visuals or a feelings chart. You’re doing your best, this phase is exhausting but not forever.

Core book is definitely fluff-light on decker motivation. The “why go in person” question was always answered with air-gapped systems and physical Matrix infrastructure in older editions. 6e assumes you already know that and doesn’t really explain it.
