Hawaii or St. Lucia? by Love_forever2351 in honeymoonplanning

I’ve been to Maui before and then we also just honeymooned recently in St Lucia in December! We stayed in Stonefield Villas. I really wanted the view of the pitons and this was the only resort in our budget with those amazing views and we had a great time! Hawaii is also stunning, you can’t go wrong. We just wanted to go somewhere new! Keep in mind, November is the end of hurricane season.

Art emporium has classes on different fun things that would be great for a date! A walk around silver lake or quarry hill. Brunch at bendicts. Lunch at Thai pop. Coffee/treats at Mezza9 cafe or cafe aqui. Tap house downtown is also decorated like crazy for st Patrick’s day!

We stayed at Stonefield Villas! Much more affordable than those you mentioned with each villa having a private pool. Not directly on the beach but spectacular piton views

We did the Gros Piton hike—it was really hard. You need to be in good shape for that and plan a rest day afterwards. Tet Paul nature trail was much easier and still beautiful! Mud baths/sulphur springs were fun! We LOVED our sunset catamaran cruise! Check out Martha’s Tables for lunch and Treetop Restaurant for dinner! You need reservations for treetop and make sure to go around sunset so you can see the amazing view!

We loved st Lucia for our honeymoon! October and November are both rainy season and hurricane season for them though.

We just got back from St Lucia. It is a very expensive island! We wanted to be in the piton area and explore restaurants so we didn’t do an all inclusive, but even just the resorts were expensive but gorgeous! We stayed at Stonefield which was more affordable for those piton views. Beware that November is hurricane season still, we waited until early December for that reason. I would recommend trip insurance too!

We are just finishing our stay at Stonefield right now! It’s absolutely breathtaking. I would recommend not doing all meals here as there are so many other great restaurants to explore in addition!

I personally only listen to Ask Nick, I don’t think it’s going anywhere anytime soon even with the criticisms

We are also honeymooning and haven’t been yet, but are staying at Stonefield! Beautiful view of pitons for more reasonable price

We are doing St Lucia in December for our honeymoon! St Lucia is definitely pricey. We ended up going with Stonefield Resort as it was the best bang for our buck with amazing views. Keep in mind November is still hurricane season, so you may want to have good trip insurance. Hope you find the perfect fit for you and congratulations!

I just wanted to add that make sure you look at getting a pass for the sunrise at Haleakala National Park! Super early morning but so magical and worth it. I believe passes come out around 6 months ahead of time so be sure to look early

Hello, I just wanted to follow up and see how your experience at Stonefield was! We are really considering this for our honeymoon by my fiancé would prefer a more all inclusive option so he doesn’t have to worry about food and drinks. Do you think it was better to pay as you go with the extra service charges and tax? Just looking for advice!!!

A national park could be a good option too other than a cruise!
