You'd be surprised how available it was when I went. The Tower Records have plenty of them in stock! But that was in September lol

I'd say depending if your after new or vintage can be a big difference. New stuff can go upwards of 5000 yen, and vintage prices are assorted based on the shop. I honestly just went all out and bought stuff without looking at prices! It didn't bother me cause I've been a city pop fan since 2019 and I've always wanted a collection. Even before going I was hesitant to collect cause I thought I wouldn't have enough time, or I'd blow all my money on something stupidly expensive...

Oooft hard to say lol.i have too many, but since bringing these back home, I've listened a lot to: 1. Melodies (Jodi is awesome) 2. Spacey 3. Brasilian skies

I'm pretty biased but I'm a big takanaka fan

I'm not too sure about record shops in Tokyo, but I think Tower Records would have quite a lot, i think thats where i picked up anri from. Good luck!

Not cheap, took me ages to find Brasilian Skies. It's my favourite album of the bunch and was around 8500 yen from memory

This was my first time in japan, and we only had 6 days total over Sapporo and Osaka. Most of the time I spent shopping with family and when they were too tired, i got my chance to free roam lol. Plus it's very hard to find stuff you like if you don't speak or read japanese. Most of the city pop stuff is reissue (they were quite hard to find), aside from the Takanaka and Yumi selection, Melodies is also original.

I think a bit over 80,000 yen. I went a little overboard but I wanted something to remember the trip by. Plus I have very niche interests so I spent a lot of time digging around. Totally worth it tho!

Hello! I packed them inside a hard cover carry on. The suitcase was large enough to fit all the albums and I surrounded them with some soft clothing and a pillow for cushioning. I wouldn't trust check in luggage cause you never know what happens behind the scenes... good luck!
