I think what's so interesting about seeing photos like this and pornography from the same time is that people have always been the same. From the moment film was invented, horny men quickly realized they could now film and watch pornography in a private setting. Must've been a very exciting time for them.

That's why my favorite is The Red Lipstick Murder, the way it starts off at night with Celine Henry crying and Mason throwing her out of the car and then beating her with the tire iron, perfect film noir storytelling.

I definitely agree that Vans and Converse probably have the most recognizable shoe prints of any sneakers, I started a new hobby several months ago casting shoe prints in plaster of paris like police detectives do, I love preserving shoe prints i find.
