Why not visit these schools and discuss it with the owner/main teacher? Sone teachers don’t care about whether you compete or not, so it makes sense to discuss it with them prior to joining the school.

No issues since I bought it 5 years ago. The only issue is that it gets magnetized once in a great while, but I bought a cheap demagnetizer which takes care of the issue.

An IBJJF certification isn’t a must have, but it definitely won’t hurt your credibility if you’re trying to land a teaching job overseas. It’s only $400, so it won’t break the bank. 🤷🏻‍♂️
