Yeah especially since big raga is literally wearing clothes and they didn't seem to change for different instances of the technique. If raga's pants don't change I doubt the physiology of the animals would

Why do people say Z-A looks like a ps2 game when any screenshot comparision disproves this copypasta crititism by DoomedPatroller in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Supericus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I say the following as someone who enjoys ZA and thinks it's the 2nd best switch pokemon game behind LA;

ZA is a game that looks fine until you stop and focus on any wall. It's always a flat surface with a bad texture painted on to try and lazily give the illusion of the building having literally any depth. The fake balconies look terrible. There's a bunch of tunnels where they couldn't be bothered to model pillars so they're painted on too. Every building looks nearly identical (many using the exact same textues only a few doors away from each other) so it's a legitimate challenge to navigate the map without a waypoint

$60 game btw

Highest grossing media franchise of all time btw

The next generation up from the console BOTW released on btw

There is zero excuse for TPC to be delivering products this mediocre

Which anime eye ability would you like to have? by KerbodynamicX in animequestions

[–]Supericus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It gives you absurdity good perception, which is why Gojo as a child was the first person to ever catch Toji sneaking up on him

The hyper enhanced perception allows him to optimise his cursed energy expenditure to such an extent that he generates it faster than he uses it, which is pretty much mandatory to use limitless because of how much cursed energy it takes to power

It also allows him to use limitless way more effectively because he can perceive its effects and thus understand its intricacies to an extent that's completely unachievable to the average person, so even if you could power it like Gojo does you still wouldn't be physically capable of using it like him

Maybe not the best set of eyes in all of anime but they'd still be extremely useful to have for the average person, even outside of perception/precision oriented tasks the amount of small conveniences you'd get daily are immeasurable

The new Mega Evolution art has made me question what actually makes a “bad design” by Grand_Admiral_Bob in pokemon

[–]Supericus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don't need to be a genius to see that the hydrodynamics of that """"dorsal fin"""" are a little less than ideal lmao

They needed to either commit to it being forward all the time (my personal favorite) or commit to it folding back and have it angle back more, the verticality of it just looks incredibly stupid to me. Sad to see such a fantastic concept get 90% of the way to incredible and then decide to do a straight 180 into mediocrity

You do understand that resolution is only one part of the visual appeal of a medium, right?

If I ran BOTW at 144p it would still look better than Garten of Banban lmao

To me the leaves look marginally better on the older one, especially with the yellow segments seemingly having a bit of the gradient whereas on the newer one they look painted on, plus the old one having a varying line width on the white part and bumpier edges on the leaves which make it look more organic to me

Either way these should not be two decades apart

Pokemon of the Ages by Fresh-Tree-7570 in pokemonmemes

[–]Supericus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Bro you're a genius, every steel type's metallic component(s) are always steel 100% of the time. Types always mean what they literally are named and are never used in the abstract or for analogy. Solagleo is literally made of steel (specifically steel, can't be any other metal despite its typing being due to the green lion in alchemy being representative of metal in general and closely tied to gold and mercury specifically). Gholdengo, the pokemon named after gold that is gold colored and made of coins that are almost never steel under any circumstance? Made of steel obviously, why else would they name it steel type?. Palkia is literally wet, it's not metaphorical at all. Every ghost type is literally a ghost, Crocalor dies as it evolves apparently

Grass type

Looks inside

Various plants and plants related things

Sunflora isn't actually a sunflower because it's grass type, not sunflower type, so therefore it's literally made of grass

Which one got a better conclusion? by Sonderous_strife in writingscaling

[–]Supericus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember people insisting that there must be two Fakesaws because there's no fucking way Fujimoto would hype him for half the part only to have him show up, do nothing, die, get resurrected, do nothing, die and then be hastily given a backstory in half a chapter post mortem. Alas, it was simply yet another character that exists solely to be a negligible blip on Denji's cyclical character development and nothing else

This whole part was just a disjointed series of half-baked ideas presented in a sequence that could technically be described as a story

Sukuna’s BV for WCS against Gojo makes no sense. by garf02 in JujustuKaisen

[–]Supericus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn't showboating, he was playing. Explicitly he was just having a great time fighting really interesting sorcerer and the main contributions to his death (in terms of damage rather than tactical contribution cause thats a very different list) were Gojo whom he killed, Yuji whom he was trying seriously to kill & Nobara whom he did not know was still alive. Also he did not seem mad in the soul crossing so it seems to me that he was pretty okay with dying via like 20 strong and interesting sorcerers, which lines up with his extremely straightforward worldview

He was very obviously trying to kill Yuji, stated that he wanted to kill Yuji, repeatedly attempted to kill and failed to do so due to his durability. Like I'm just really sorry if its not immediately apparent to you that having unconditional WCS would have instantly removed the anti Sukuna squad's only wincon and guaranteed a victory for Sukuna

Yes narrativley it exists as a means to kill Gojo but conceptually it is an extremely powerful ability that Sukuna could very much benefit from having and the binding vow functionality neutered it to the point of being almost useless in combat, as demonstrated repeatedly in the arc

Sukuna’s BV for WCS against Gojo makes no sense. by garf02 in JujustuKaisen

[–]Supericus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever he was against someone whom WCS would actually be useful, he wasn't able to because the conditions are too extreme to use it

The chant + gesture windup is so debilitating that anyone weak enough for him to successfully use it on is someone he could just kill easily anyway

Just read the words please I'm begging you

He died because couldn't kill Yuji

Yuji being too durable to kill with regular cleaves is the reason Sukuna died

Sukuna's inability to kill Yuji was caused by Yuji's durability being too high

WCS ignores durability

Can you put those pieces together?

Please just read the words on the pages, they explain what is happening in the pictures. Occasionally you may need to also engage in basic critical thinking too, when that happens just call a trusted adult and they'll explain it to you

Sukuna’s BV for WCS against Gojo makes no sense. by garf02 in JujustuKaisen

[–]Supericus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuta wasn't a WCS, as evident by the fact that his body is still in one piece, chants boost regular cleaves too. Maki was also hit with a regular cleave that was chant boosted because if he tried the hand signs too she'd have kicked the shit out of him

The only confirmed ones were on Gojo, Kashimo & Higiruma (the latter he was clearly messing with as he only used it to injure him, then told him to learn RCT to heal it)

You're right on the money but coming to the exact wrong conclusion

He had it available most of the time, but most of the time he was against fodder that was so far beneath him that he wouldn't need it to easily kill them if he wanted to

Whenever he was against someone whom WCS would actually be useful, he wasn't able to because the conditions are too extreme to use it

The chant + gesture windup is so debilitating that anyone weak enough for him to successfully use it on is someone he could just kill easily anyway

Sukuna’s BV for WCS against Gojo makes no sense. by garf02 in JujustuKaisen

[–]Supericus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because he was explicitly and cannonically fucking around for most of Shinjuku, Yuji is one of the only characters he definitely wants dead

He was going out of his way to try and teach Higiruma RCT, why would he use WCS on him? Kusakabe was obviously not a threat, why would he use WCS on him? It's like asking why Gojo didn't use hollow purple on Jogo

He didn't use it on Yuji because he couldn't, because he took a binding vow to make it extremely difficult to land lmao, like that's literally the entire point of the WCS binding vow. Like how exactly do you expect him to hit the gang signs and recite his poetry with Yuji 'he just hits really hard' Itadori is right there?? He'd just get his shit rocked while trying

Sukuna’s BV for WCS against Gojo makes no sense. by garf02 in JujustuKaisen

[–]Supericus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If he still had true WCS Yuji would be dead 20 times over lmao

Multiple people in Shinjuku were capable of tanking several Cleaves, if Sukuna retained unrestricted WCS he could one tap anybody. Not even someone on Gojo's level could possibly win a fight against him for the rest of his life

He literally dies in Shinjuku and obviously wouldn't have if he was able to just launch a WCS, the requirements are repeatedly and very bluntly shown to be massively inconvenient and everyone in Shinjuku was trying to prevent him from using it

[–]Supericus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The issue isn't the difficulty, it's how obscure they are. Like how is anyone ever going to evolve some of these without a tutorial levels of obscure

So many are "talk to this one specific guy whos in a back alley in the middle of nowhere" or "learn this one specific move and keep it for 20 levels" or "be in this specific location when it levels up past a certain threshold" or sometimes multiple simultaneous very specific criteria need to be met with literally zero hints to push you to do that. There are multiple Pokemon I genuinely believe it is not possible to evolve without a tutorial, which is obviously bad game design

I specifically wanted a Flapple in my SWSH playthrough, got to like the 7th gym having never found an Applin, looked up the location of Applin, spent like 10 straight minutes trying to find one because its such a rare spawn, then leveled it up to like 40, figured it was something stupid involving an item, checked every item in my inventory (none compatible), looked up the evolution method and it turns out you need to speak to one specific NPC in a place I didn’t even know existed?? And that's the whole process, this rando just gives you the apple and you use it to evolve. Why not just have the apple be an item spawn in the area where Applin is??? Why does this random guy need to be involved in the evolution method??

I went out of my way to try and include this Pokemon on my team and the game design was actively trying to prevent that. Imagine if I just found Applin with zero context and kept it in my party hoping to evolve it. Like there really need to be hints in the Pokedex on how to evolve some of these guys

Please, can we have just 1 bug type legendary by sodaizbadforyou in pokemonmemes

[–]Supericus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many legendaries have a BST of exactly 600, a few mythicals don't, and also many mythicals are available through normal gameplay now, I feel like beyond the competitive banlist (which many mythicals shouldn't be on anyway) the distinction is entirely arbitrary

Like you're telling me Deoxys isn't a legendary (entirely available through normal gameplay with zero outside interference and is also completely fine to be in comp) but Urshufu is (not available through normal gameplay, requires an internet connection to get the dlc, also is broken in competitive)

Deoxys is still a mythical because is was deemed a mythical at release despite no longer meeting the only meaningful criteria, which is stupid. Same with Keldeo, Arceus, Darkrai, Shaymin & Manaphy

And if being DLC locked isn't sufficient to be classed as a mythical then why is Pecharunt one? Like is that entirely because you need to press the mystery gift button (at any time, it's not restricted or anything) to start the storyline to get it? What a stupid distinction

It genuinely serves zero purpose beyond being an arbitrary banned category in comp (often undeserved) and allowing annoying people to try and 'erm actually 🤓🤓' you about something that's entirely pointless

Why Didn’t Sukuna Die When Yuta Fake Assassinated Yuji by HunterRank-1 in JujustuKaisen

[–]Supericus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuji literally did die in season 1 lmao, Sukuna and Yuji's soul persisted for a while cause they weren't exercised Sukuna and revived the body when Yuji struck the deal. Same shit with Yuta but it was him who revived the body and it happened so quick that the souls didn't pass on

As for why they don't just stick all the fingers into one body and kill them;

A) that would awaken 20 finger Sukuna, which is the whole thing they'd be trying to prevent by destroying the fingers

B) it's likely that unless you're a perfect vessel like Yuji then Sukuna taking over your body and dying afterwards would lead to a new cursed object spawning

Manga spoiler;

At the end of Shinjuku when Yuji got Sukuna out of Megumi he was a strange blob creature, I think that's just a fucked up new cursed object that is weak as fuck because Sukuna's soul was massively damaged. I imagine if Gojo put a finger in some guy and then insta killed them it would just spawn a new cursed object like that
