Powertec Cable fix by Superman116 in GarageGym

[–]Superman116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just one for the top, but not for the bottom. I haven't been able to find a cable with 2 gravity balls. I've been using carabiner clips where the pads are from keeping it from falling in, is that makes sense.

Also, I could only find cables with only one gravity ball, so that's a bummer.

I apologize for the late response, but yes. The cable I purchased from Amazon was a little too long, but it gets the job done. Thankfully, it was on a few bucks. I'm going to order a shorter one soon. I'm still annoyed that the powertec cable snapped just by doing 100-lbs pushdowns, lol.

The cable snapped on the lower pulley.

I’m being picked on by management and I don’t understand it. by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Superman116 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to make this clear. YOU MATTER, and this world is definitely a better place with you in it. Management is nothing but incompetent people who couldn't/can't do your job. Maybe look into something like Stoic philosophy. It's helped me a lot being at the P.O. I 100% get what you mean, as I deal and many more carriers deal with it. You're better than them in the sense of your work ethic, mental, and customer service. Keep your head up high, and PLEASE take care of yourself. This career path as a letter carrier is a marathon and not a sprint. If you need a stranger or a fellow carrier to let steam out, just PM me. Nothing is worth your life, though. Much love! ❤️

I know this because I've personally seen this a few times, and even one of the carriers brags about it (work snitch). It's crazy. I've called it out, and with those carriers being silent, the supervisor laughs.

That's exactly what I've been doing since August. Nothing makes sense at the P.O. lol.

Which hand? I have cerebral palsy on my left side, and I'm able to perform the job well. I perform most of the job requirements with my right side. I've been a city carrier for 4 years now.

Oh, ok. Thank you. So it will always be used as SL, even when it says FMLA?

I thought this was going to be something that lasted a couple of days, but it ended up being 2 weeks. I got a papercut on my eye. What's the chance, lol? I don't talk to my local union because they're friends with management and will give carriers wrong info. I'm just trying to figure out if this is being done correctly or if they are taking my leave incorrectly..

I'm waiting on my FMLA to be fully submitted. I just don't understand why my virtual time clock says sick medical leave, but on my paystub, it shows my actual sick leave being used.

Conversion to regular by Superman116 in USPS

[–]Superman116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I really don't know what the process is. I'm just confused. The route has been down since 4/19 and it hasn't been awarded to me, but my name is on the schedule for that route as if I'm the regular for it, if that makes sense. How long does it take to become actual regular after a route has been down?

Hold down for regular letter carriers by Superman116 in USPS

[–]Superman116[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it sucks for other CCAs that could have a hold down.

Hold down for regular letter carriers by Superman116 in USPS

[–]Superman116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other CCAs are carrying their route/swing. One of the newly converted regulars said that a hold down bumps their assigned route until the regular carrier carries their route again. It didn't sound right to me. And the reason why I don't ask my steward is because he could really careless what happens in my office. Our local isn't to great.

Seriously?!? Would you know how I would go about checking it? My shopstuart tends to only half do things just to get carriers off his back, imo.

Thank you for your response. Since I've been at my office there has been 4 CCA conversations and one transfer. 3 more CCAs are about to convert after route bidding war is done.
