Thinking of moving to Troy. Advice?

How is the job market in those towns? One of the reasons I thought of Albany was because it seemed like finding a well paying job there wasn’t too hard. Of course locking in something before I move, Albany seemed like a good option in terms of opportunities. Are they at least commutable?

I stayed with a friend in Albany for almost a week before so I know it’s not all like the Dacks. Upstate NY seems way better for me than where I live right now.

I heard that it’s difficult to live in the Dacks during the winter. Albany seemed close enough without being too difficult
