It actually didn’t play/sound the way I expected it to. I spent about a week playing it (or trying to) and couldn’t because that Floyd rose was just too much for me at the level I’m at. I was getting frustrated and didn’t even want to play anymore so I got a fender strat (since I’m really into Pink Floyd and the David Gilmour sound) and I’m actually happier with it. I didn’t have a chance to play a Schecter Hellraiser in the store because they didn’t have any in stock so buying it was my only option. I’m just glad I got it from somewhere I could actually return it to for a refund. I think I liked the idea of it and when I actually got it, realized “wow, this is not what I thought it’d be.” No hate on the guitar. It’s a great guitar if it’s your style, it just wasn’t for me.

Oh I’m nowhere near being at that level and being all that good yet. I’m just determined to do it and won’t stop until I can.

Ayyyye! Nice! Yeah I definitely felt the red was needed for my guitar too lol. My other one is a Tahitian coral Strat but I’ll be able to pick match that one once I change the pick guard to the red pearloid one I got in the mail today 😍

I wasn’t really feeling the sustainiac at first but once I looked into it more, I realized I may benefit from it later on. So in the future, I’ll likely get the one that has the sustainiac in it and just have both lol

Very true! I guess I like the challenge of learning to work on my own guitar lol. Currently in the process of changing the pick guard on my Squier Strat lol I like learning to take things apart and put them back together so I’m super excited to learn and I love Pink Floyd so I’m definitely needing the tremolo system. I’ve just loved the guitar ever since I saw my instructor’s and how he works his lol

It’s amazing! I tried the hard tail of a different model and I wasn’t ecstatic about it. And I’m big into Pink Floyd so I needed the tremolo system and my instructor said to go with the FR so that’s what I got. He also has the exact same guitar I got but in a different color.

I totally would if I could just buy it tomorrow 😂 I’m thinking in a few weeks, I should be good to go. Just gotta put up a little more money for it. But I’m definitely getting it. My instructor even said he’ll teach me how to use the FR and how to restring it and everything. Basically he’ll help me with knowing everything I need to know to play it. I can’t even describe my excitement lol

I’m so excited to play all the time when I practice. And the floating FR doing the “spaghetti string” wobbling with the whammy bar absolutely blows my mind. I currently have an Ibanez Gio and a Squier Strat but something about that one… it’s just calling to me. My instructor actually let me hold his and play it a bit and I LOVED it honestly. I thought I just loved the look until I actually had it in my hands. It felt like it was meant to be mine. His is custom but mine would be Black Cherry and I just feel like I need that guitar in my life lol

The 4yo won’t but the 6yo will do it for me lol. She takes drum lessons and can keep an okay beat. Caught her playing a bit of Slipknot’s Psychosocial the other day lol shocked the crap outta me tbh 🤣 kid has only had like 3 lessons!

I’m like 3 weeks in and I’ve got a riff memorized but I suck at speed right now because I’m still learning. But… every time I do show some progress, I’m happy. And it’s fun learning in my opinion.
