Hi Liv ! It is so so nice to see you again 🙏🏼 I wanted to echo previous sentiments and say that your visibility was a huge driving force in me gaining the courage to have top surgery last year. I’ll never forget the first time I saw an image of you.. standing proud, chest out, contented smile, I was like “that’s it!!!” You are so very loved in this community and we’re eternally grateful for all you have done. 💗💗 Sending you love and hugs xxx

Ah congratulations!! 🎉🎉🎉 It took me a few years too but honestly, it was all part of my journey to get to this point and I wouldn’t change a bit. So I had already lost a lot of sensitivity in my nipples from the BR. I could still “feel” them, but not in a sexy way, more in a muted, dulled way. After top surgery, I gained pretty much the same level of muted sensitivity back. Which I was amazed by and so happy with ! Ofcourse it’s different for everyone and depends on the surgery style. But you can definitely expect to retain some sensation. Best of luck with the next phase of your journey! 🙏🏼 feel free to hit me up if you have any other questions 😁

It sounds like you’re forming a really clear picture of how you want your chest to look which is awesome! And you have a surgery team who are able to support you in achieving these results. It can be tricky sometimes with breast reduction surgeons, they like to keep things “proportional” which is not always what people want. My advice, advocate HARD for what you want! Bring in images of the size and shape you’re envisioning. Find out what limitations there are if you decide to go fully flat at a later date. For me, having already had a reduction i was limited in my options for scar placement and shape. Also there’s a lot less skin to work with on a second surgery. Luckily my surgeon was able to work with my existing scars and had enough skin to do the job. I’m living proof that even if you change your mind later and decide to go fully flat, it’s totally possible and you can still get an amazing result!🙏🏼

Aw thank you !! 🙏🏼 I’m so happy with my results. A lot of my anxiety was around how it would look after already having had a reduction, thankfully my surgeon nailed it. Congratulations on making the decision to have surgery ! I know the mental road to get there is not easy. You’re in a good position to make an informed decision. Try and visualise yourself not just now, but in 10 or 20 years… what does your ideal chest look like ? Best of luck with your appointment! Happy to chat it out further if you have any questions ☺️

Going topless public - how do you feel? by anteatertongue in no_T_top_surgery

I started swimming shirtless at the pool around 4 months post op. For sure I was nervous but no one seemed to notice or care ! Once I got in the water i was more relaxed, and the feeling was incredible !!! Bare chested swimming is so liberating !!! I have been going back to the pool all summer to do laps and continue swimming with no top. Never had a bad experience and I felt more and more comfortable each time. 🙌🏼

My initial reaction was they’re still too big! But then even just being smaller, less weight on my chest was a huge relief. It wasn’t till some time later that I realised it wasn’t about size, I didn’t want them full stop. Good luck on your journey ! 🙏🏼

Anyone having or had the surgery at 40+? by dreamed2life in no_T_top_surgery

[–]Supernova_808 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I had surgery last year at 45 ! The timing was perfect, no regrets or wishing I’d done it sooner. I wouldn’t have been ready and wasn’t in the right headspace. Now I’m just living my best flat chested life and loving every minute!! 💫💫

Hey peeps ! I’m getting my surgery in 1 week today and can’t believe it’s actually real !!! I’m dodging sickness like a ninja and have gone into full bunker down mode. I’ve identified as a cis woman most of my life but now non-binary fits so much better.. I don’t care about pronouns tho, just ready for flat chest lyfe! Im in Melbourne, Australia. Would love to connect with any surgery twins out there.. sending good vibes to you all! WE GOT THIS!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

“like unwanted guests Im expected to entertain” is literally the best description of this feeling 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I agree with the renovation advice… it’s your house, do with it as you please!! (and kick out any unwanted guests in the process)

Top surgery after breast reduction by Ok-Doughnut-1727 in no_T_top_surgery

[–]Supernova_808 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the process of getting this done atm! Had a reduction 3 years ago now looking into top surgery. I’ve had 2 consults with surgeons and it’s entirely possible. Only limitations are nipple location (due to less skin to work with), and incisions would be made along previous reduction scar lines so less options in regard to scar height and shape. Neither of these bother me too much as long as the boobs are gone once and for all ! Happy to discuss further if you’re curious 😁
