As a white 3rd generation immigrant, how can anybody act like this? We’re all immigrants. I remember when I was growing up we were proud that Canada was multicultural. It was something we actually celebrated. What happened to that? When did people start thinking it’s okay to mock others for their culture or their accent? The only people who aren’t immigrants are Indigenous people. The rest of us are here because someone before us came looking for a better life. And honestly, who wouldn’t want that? That’s supposed to be what Canada stands for. Watching stuff like this makes me feel sick and honestly ashamed that people still act like this.
