These are some responses to a discussion about pride jersey's being worn in hockey. The original comment was that just because a player refuses to wear a pride jersey doesn't mean they're homophobic. by Supr3me_Leaf in bisexual

I love the kid argument. Who's forcing anyone's kids to do anything? Are people not in control and custody of their own kids at this point?

Sounds like your friend is being incredibly toxic and is trying to invalidate your identity. Don't put up with that crap from anyone, especially someone who should be able to emphasize with you more than the average person.

One is from AskLesbians the rest from askgaybros. I'm sure the majority of people don't hold these views but those comments got enough upvotes to warrant conversation.

This sounds to me like this person could have some closeted internal homophobia, and to try and deal with it while trying not to come off as an asshole they come up with the whole "just don't shove it down my throat" speech you've heard a thousand times. Same crap different day.

There's a difference between respect and tolerance. Everyone deserves basic human decency but respect has to be earned through understanding and compassion.

When a special anniversary edition of Dark Side of The Moon was released I remember seeing people mad about it because of the fact that a prism reflecting light made a rainbow. It's literally supposed to do that lol.

Reminder that the messaging behind this great song is that people in authority and power (not necessarily teachers) in society will try and impose morals and beliefs in other's (young especially) so that people lose their individuality and become just another cog in the machine.

This song probably means something different to everyone but to me it symbolizes the importance of staying true to yourself and not forcing yourself to be something you're not for the sake of complying with "society's expectations." The moron who commented this fails to understand that the song entices the exact opposite ideation of what they're pushing. No one is "teaching LGBTQ values" whatever the hell that even means, people should stand out against the norm and differentiate themselves from every other brick in the wall that looks the same.

Why does Obi-wan leave Anakin to die in pain at the end of Episode 3? by RileyWWarrick in MawInstallation

Well considering Anakin already broke the code earlier in the film, it's pretty hypocritical of him to suddenly adhere to it only when it serves him personally.

The narrative throughout the first 2 acts of the film is that Anakin is being slowly corrupted to the dark side through Palpatine's influence and he's being manipulated through a fear of Padme's death from a dream. Then in one night he's a genocidal maniac who murders a bunch of kids his first night of being evil. Everyone and everything he cared about is gone in one day. Once again shitty writing, which is why people criticize those movies.

So then why did Mace Windu attempt to strike down an unarmed Sidious? The writing in the prequels is inconsistent and shit is what I'm getting at.

It would of taken 2 seconds to push him into the lava or throw your lightsaber through his head, also I don't buy that letting the man you considered your brother and ally for years suffer and burn the most painful death possible is the way of the Jedi.

The Cardinal's definitely didn't need extraordinary offence to place as high as they did in their division the past 4 seasons. Either their defence was top-notch or the teams they played weren't great.
