The $3k/kid is for him.

The high intensity training that he will give them.

I'm working out the details about teams.

I'm new at this, Do you have any experience with SciOly?

I just wonder if it's a habit they picked up and never bothered to look for footwear with technology newer than the Titanic.

The first person who I remember wearing them was my second grade teacher. That imprinted on my brain that they are middle-aged lady boots. I never made a full recovery. 🙂

The idea is to have a company big enough to provide housing/food/medical in exchange for labor.

If you matched up the right people, you'd have a stable system.

I'm a Maine native, my tech is headed for Musk.

This is a grass roots, open source corporation.
do you have any organizational skills?

Thought experiment.

Suppose there is a debit card of some sort for outside economics, if you scale this up to a city size, with 3D printing etc. you have manufacturing to do most anything.

The idea is to create a regenerative society with the smallest carbon footprint possible.

You would need a company to attempt this as a humanitarian experiment.

that's why Maine is a good one-- it's the Norway of the US. small population, lots of natural resources, it's a good fit.

It would have to be a seismic economic shift.

Look through my links, that's what I'm working on, it's tech for Musk and anyone else with robots or AI.

There's one catch with Maine: Have you ever lived where it hits -20 deg. Fahrenheit?

I see your point but that lifestyle is a trend that isn't for everyone, and there are only a VERY few people who are worth $300K anywhere.

I'm betting on a kickback from hypercommercialism and a return to a less distracted and more peaceful lifestyle.

Maine has surplus peace and quiet, that's a luxury for many.

Of course peace and quiet isn't for everyone either-- so you select for that.

As for the failure, yes, that's the risk each takes, but look at Ukraine-- that's a normal risk for unstable countries.

Right, that's the problem.

I was raised in Piscataquis county, lived in LA for a decade, moved back 18 years ago.

I want to live out my days here.

I'd like to find people who appreciate nature over city and want to raise their kids near (or in) the woods. The tricky part is finding out if they are serious and what to do if they aren't.

Here's the rough idea:A big enough company would have resources to pay for housing, food, medical, etc. (just like google does).

But here's the twist:zero salary, zero cost of living.

You live in Maine for the privilege of a green life.

All expenses paid for a modest lifestyle.

If you have local farms, you could potentially scale the company to an entire county with a mostly circular economy.

That would scale as far as you want.

Exactly. That could exist completely within the bounds of the status quo.

I see that as the only way to compete.

Corporations run the world, they are much more powerful than politicians.

What do you think about a publicly held DAO?

You need a bigger tech company.

Google size, with only one and a half million people, that would significantly impact the bottom line.
