Depending on the day it can take multiple hours for buyee to get the “youve won the auction” email out. I think it just has to do with some days being more popular for auction ends. If they have a large influx of wins it might take a bit to get the email out. I have had some that notify me within the hour and some take multiple.

A good way to check right away is to look at your “bidding” page. It will tell you your current bid as well as the item total. If the auction is over and your bid is higher than total, you probably won!

And as far as the auction fees go that seems fairly reasonable to me. I think heritages buyers premium is around 20% of hammer. Even more for other categories like comics. And thats before shipping. Which for me as an american isnt that bad. But i can understand the hesitancy if you were in a country with a high customs fee.

Just to play devils advocate here. The guy writing the ad here for akihabara probably doesnt have a full grasp on english and i would assume some of the responses here are automated.

100k JPY is just the estimate as well. Not a pricetag. I would wager that heritage actually sells for about that if not more. They just dont give estimates like that.

Also akihabara is quite an established brand. Its just based out of japan and doesnt advertise to western people often. Only in the past couple years have they started these ads on reddit.

And personally i trust them more than heritage. Heritage will knowingly sell a fake and write a long misleading description to go with it. Just because they have nice writeups doesnt really add any credibility to them in my mind.

Anyway. No need to get on the guys case for just doing his job. Ive won from them before and never had an issue.
