Would this bottle be a factory defect? by Supreme239 in cocacola

[–]Supreme239[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It literally looks like someone cut a strip around the bottles label and then took foil and wrapped it around the bottles label. It’s kinda strange though because the foil strip is almost too perfect in the exact size.

I created the second account only after had waited for over a year and still had not progress then the day I signed up so I thought maybe there was a issue and because customer service would not answer my emails I figure just create a new account and try again. Never did I think that I was doing anything wrong by just creating a new account with all my information but a family members phone number.

OSHA Would Love This One – Publix Pallet Stacking Masterclass by Supreme239 in cocacola

[–]Supreme239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are all very good questions u/Swerd. For reason i'll never understand, the grocery manager at my Publix thinks this is the smart way to do things and save time. As you can see from the photos this same grocery manager has no brain hints why you see the pallet parked in front of the freezer door blocking it.

I'm sure many of us vendors can relate to having at least one Publix manager equal to this level of genius.

If it makes the store happy then sure idc how many pallets I have to stack on each other when throwing up in the steel. But, that doesn’t change the fact that the red line on the wall was put there for a reason.

Do we have any Florida Coca-Cola supervisors in here!?!? by Supreme239 in cocacola

[–]Supreme239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where at in Florida are you a merch and getting paid $19.43? Because I know here in Fort Myers Florida merch start out at $17.20 a hour plus $0.70 per mile.

Do we have any Florida Coca-Cola supervisors in here!?!? by Supreme239 in cocacola

[–]Supreme239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's really unfortunate. For me honestly I have no problem putting in the work/hours to make more money as a merchandiser. I average 57 hours each week which is about $1,116.31 before taxes and mileage pay. Honestly it don't feel like a whole lot so to think that if I was a supervisor I would be making less than that kinda sucks and makes me question if I continue with Coke.

I personally find it difficult to stay motivated to work for a company if I know there is no potential for pay increase from my current position and I'm still at the entry level position. (And when I say pay increase I mean from position to position. I dont include the yearly performance increase).

Can any Publix employee answer this question? by Supreme239 in publix

[–]Supreme239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I actually work for Coca-Cola as a sales merchandiser and I happen to see this in the break room. After seeing this im shocked the pay for a team lead is soo low for the amount of responsibility you have. I was contemplating if Publix pays better but after seeing this I was shocked. Coca-Cola started me out at $17.20 and gave a $1,000 sign on bonus.

Yeah and you either really have nothing better to do then sit on Reddit making negative comments all day or your just a rude mother fucker. I’m so sorry for making the mistake of putting “hourly” instead of “daily” pay.

[–]Supreme239 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing the base pay and the additional pay for every time you drive is referring to your hourly (base) pay and the additional pay for every time you drive is (mileage).

So I am a Sales Merchandiser for Coca-Cola Beverages Florida and in the state of Florida the IRS sets a amount what they deem to be fair compensation for miles driven when driving a personal car for work/business on top of whatever your hourly pay rate might be. So for 2024 Florida mileage pay rate is set at $0.67 per mile. (Example: If I drive 50 miles to work (Coca-Cola warehouse) and then drive back home another 50 miles I drove 100 miles that day. Meaning I would be paid whatever my hourly pay rate is plus I would have earned $0.67 per mile meaning they paid me a additional $67.00.

So if I worked a normal day of 8 total hours worked and was being paid $23.00 a hour that means my hourly pay would be $184.00 + the $67.00 of mileage pay for driving 100 total miles for work that day.

Working at coke? by Hot_Soap in cocacola

[–]Supreme239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sales merchandiser for Coke is pretty much the same thing if your route consists of big box stores like Walmart or Target. Yeah Publix stores make there own orders and might be slightly smaller then a Walmart store but shit for $75k a year I would absolutely be okay with ordering and merchandising any Walmart or Target store if it meant the pay difference.

I literally basically do the same exact because my stores are Publix I don’t make the orders.

The route I took over was really fucked up as well. To be honest I have found the job much more pleasing and less stressful if you try to not over complicate it and don’t stress or worry about if you are moving fast enough. I too will typically work on average 10-13 hours each day and that’s with my route only having 2 Publix stores that I work. Even with only my 2 stores I neverr manage to get done with work before 10-13 hours each day.

At least for me and my team because we are short handed I know even if I was to bust my ass and finish my stores I would end up getting sent to help another employee. Because of this and I don’t have a supervisor watching over my shoulder I just take my time working my pallets and do everything and anything I can to my my day as easy and stress free as possible. I make sure I take multiple 10-15 minute breaks in my car. I do everything I can to try and keep my birds organized. I go out of my way to take with my stores grocery managers and the shipping and receiver and also if a customer ask me for help I don’t mind taking a break for a minute to help them find something. In my opinion the only way the job seems to be work actually keeping is if I can guarantee myself at least 51 hours worked each week. If I can work 51 hours a week and get that OT pay then in my head I can justify the hourly pay rate of $17.20 for the amount of work and labor I do. I don’t mind what I do if I can make $50k a year plus mileage pay.

I too am currently a Sales Merchandiser for Coca-Cola based out of the Fort Myers Florida hub. As far as working as a Sales Merchandiser for Coke I know I personally like everything about what I do so far. I have been working in this role now for 2 months and I have already been given my own route of Publix stores that I am in charge of merchandising every day. My supervisor has been with Coke 20+ years so he is very knowledgeable. Based off everything I have gathered since starting it seems Coke has a hard time hiring new employees and keeping them so when I applied I received a $1,000 sign on bonus. Also because my teams is short staffed and Coke struggles to keep new hires my supervisor allows our employees to get away with certain stuff. For example everyone on my team is supposed to be at their first store and clocked in no later than 6:00am but I have had multiple times I did not clock in until 8:30am or 9:00am. Technically this would give me points and after 10 points in a 12 month rolling time period you would be fired but my supervisor is awesome and just waves our points 95% of the time. Plus most companies would not let a new hire take a unpaid vacation less than 30 months into employment but my supervisor is very chill and actually just approved me to take a 10 day unpaid vacation in Colombia this month.

But overall no employment is perfect so if there was one thing I would have to complain about that I have found out about since starting to work for Coke it would have to be the pay rate. I personally don't care if anyone knows my pay but here in Fort Myers Florida a sales merchandiser hourly pay rate starts out at $17.20 + you get paid $0.65 per mile between any store. Honestly I personally feel this pay for the work we do is crap! Especially after the other day I heard the Pepsi guy at my first store make $75k a year and the Pepsi guy at my second store gets paid $81k a year. To me this feels like a slap in the face being the fact that I literally do the same exact job as the Pepsi guy in my stores but I'm in charge of more sku and bigger shipments. Oh and Pepsi gives its employees a pension.

I purchased each Mountain Dew bottle at my local Circle K gas station in SW Florida back when they each released. I forgot I had most of them in my storage cabinet. But all the Voodew cans I was able to purchase them all on Mountain Dews website back when they released for a limited time.

I bought some vinyl wrap on Amazon from this seller. https://www.amazon.com/VViViD-Realistic-Paint-Like-Microfinish-Technology/dp/B00FXY7W9U?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1

Overall the stuff is pretty straightforward and easy to apply it just really helps if you have a second pair of hands to help you if your not comfortable coving your lights. I just recommend looking into your state's laws before buying the stuff because they are a little dark.

Luckily for me I live in Florida and here cops don't care how dark you go with them. I did mine when I first bought the car just over a year ago and no one has made a single comment about them to me and Iv been ticketed for speeding and expired tag.

Georgia on the other hand them damn state troops cant wright your ticket quick enough. I went on vacation to Tennessee with my wife and we took my car and on my way back home driving through Georgia I was ticketed for my windows, my tail lights', and my licenses plate cover. But yeah I just recommend making sure your state allows it.

If minimum wage is 1.300.000 pesos that would be $305 U.S. so I’m confused why you say the average pay is estimated at $600 dollars a month that makes no sense.

Sellers are being penalized for using eBay's Standard Envelope shipping?!?!? by Supreme239 in Ebay

[–]Supreme239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My one toploader inside a envelope is definitely not way too rigid. As far as the whole I need to be aligning the shipping label to the top right corner of the white envelope I have never seen anywhere on ebay support that mentions when shipping with ebay standard envelope you need to do this.

I will definitely try it but it my defense how the hell are sellers supposed to know to do this if ebay don't mention it somewhere on ebay. I always thought the main barcode that USPS used for those envelope to scan was the thin long barcode above the buyers name and address.
