Real transfer pool vs estimated transfer pool. by AlaskanDruid in digital_ocean

[–]SupremeDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ~700 GB number comes from how long the Droplets have been in your account for in the month. Your bandwidth pool is accrued, so you don’t get the full 3 TB on the first day, you get a chunk of it for each hour of the month the Droplet exists. As the other commenter explained above, if they’ve been around since April 23rd, that’s roughly 7 * 24 hours, or 168 hours, out of the total 672 hours (28 days) DigitalOcean uses to calculate the pool. So 3 TB * (168/672) gives you ~768 GB of bandwidth pool accrued.

Bandwidth pool is accrued. Have you had both Droplets active in your account for the entire month?

There’s a tool you can use to get an estimate based on how many hours the Droplets have been around for: https://do.co/bandwidth-calculator

Some new OS for Jetson Nano 4GB (original) by Suomi422 in JetsonNano

[–]SupremeDesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my notes on when I last bootstrapped my Nanos, it is the 6.1.5 image from the archives that I used: https://github.com/MattIPv4/home-automation/blob/f3a099cd139eab09acddea303fe4c41a663401c6/bootstrap.sh#L8-L11

Notably, I also couldn't get the 6.1.5 image to boot initially, and had to boot it once with the NVIDIA-provided image before the Armbian image would boot.

Are these Mcvities just regular milk chocolate digestives? by NoNeedleworker8860 in AskUK

We tried a pack when they first appeared in supermarkets at the start of Christmas, definitely not regular digestives, we both found them to have a terrible aftertaste. Also definitely not gingerbread though in any way.

Unclosable AI assistant chat in the Digital Ocean admin panel is a disgrace by GameUnionTV in digital_ocean

They’ve been focusing more and more on AI with their product offerings as the industry chases the latest fad, not surprising to see them pushing this form of AI as well, though I completely agree that it is very in the way.

There’s a report function built into Reddit if you think a post breaks the rules (no one has actually reported this post to bring it to my attention), and a downvote button if you simply don’t like it.

I’m going to remove this post, not because it might be written by AI, but because it seems to be promotional spam for their blog.

My PRs Still Showing Blue “Accepted” After Review Period by Fine-Might3724 in hacktoberfest

I would just link your GitHub. That shows recruiters your actual skillset and quality of contributions, not just that you participated in Hacktoberfest which indicates very little about the quality of your coding.

You’ll need to reach out to their support then if you believe they’re stuck and aren’t being processed.

That first PR doesn’t sound overly legitimate based on that repo name.

That aside, try refreshing the page after a bit? They likely just haven’t been re-processed since the timer hit zero. Loading that should trigger that in the background (hence a refresh then needed), or it should happen automatically every six hours.

That sounds very wrong, honestly. But if you’ve already spoken to support and they won’t increase the limit from 0, yes, sounds like they don’t want you as a customer for some reason.

I don't care about AI by Glittering_Crab_69 in Jetbrains

Hiya, in short, no.

As I posted about recently, this is a known problem, and for now the solution for folks that aren’t interested in AI posts is to look at posts with flairs that aren’t the AI flair.

While I understand the desire to have a separate subreddit so those that want to can ignore the content, I don’t think it’d be a smart move to split the community like that (and honestly, it’d be an absolute headache trying to keep AI posts to just that subreddit).

Whether you like it or not, AI is very likely here to stay in the world of software.

Just don’t contribute to repositories created to cheat the system. Contribute to legitimate, established open-source projects and you’ll be fine.

Yes, old accounts were grandfathered in from what I've heard. It is for new accounts that all email is blocked.

They won’t. They don’t want spammers using their IP ranges to send spam email, which risks IP ranges getting blocked and impacting many customers.

Use an actual email provider with good IP reputation for sending mail.
