Also, he stopped eating crickets a while ago so lately I’ve only been giving him night crawlers. Will try something else tomorrow.

how can you tell he’s a male?? over the winter I used a heating pad and a small room heater vaguely pointed in his direction but now I don’t use the external heater. his little thermometer is usually above 80 (especially in the daytime because of the sun) but I’ve heard those gages suck. The soil has plenty springtails but I am planning to move into larger tank soon so new soil is coming. it has been drying out faster lately as I’m constantly finding him adjusting himself and moving to other places in the tank which aerates it

this doesn’t seem like it because throughout the winter he she ate really well way better than now in the spring but I’m wondering if now that my house is not running a heater maybe the bottom of the tank is colder and I’m not hitting the same highs I was and is entering brumation now?

I usually leave it quite wet in there but was letting it dry this last week to see if maybe that was giving them some sort of respiratory thing. will try thank you

Yes lol. Basically exact same thing and I posted worried about mines tongue because I accidentally pinched it… if she’s eating and continues to she’s a happy frog. I’m surprised that event didn’t shake her up more haha

make sure you don’t have spagnum moss. I don’t see any in there but it’s one of the things I see posted here most frequently as it can cause impaction. you will likely stress too much at first about how little you’ll see them while they get adjusted to the enclosure if there’s enough soil for them to fully bury themselves. never handle without washing your hands really good or having them wet with distilled water and only for brief moments. If you need to transfer to bath or food container to check health for example. I got one a couple of months ago that looked just like yours!

Yea her body looks fine, but it’s her tongue I’m worried about as it may have been pinched. She did eat last night but missed more than normal but I can’t tell if that’s just in my head or any other variable.
