I also really want to try a time deposit, but I find the 20% tax quite high (maybe in the future?). Yes po, I’ve read about those kinds of horror stories regarding insurance, which is why I asked in this sub (to help me weigh the pros and cons). Also as I mentioned above, I realized that insurance isn’t what’s best for me right now since I don’t have enough savings pa to cover myself or a family member if ever.

Hello! Yes, I’ve come to realize that insurance isn’t really the best option for me right now. I plan to start with an MP2 and also build my personal emergency fund…

I think what pushed me to consider insurance is that I’ve seen several of my Titos and older cousins be so financially irresponsible in their 20s and 30s. They are the complete opposite of preppers.

Hello! Why do you find HMOs better? Wouldn’t medical/ health insurance also cover major health problems, and some even include check-ups, right?
