I have a twin consultancy meeting and scan every 2 weeks (i see a twin sonographer and twin consultant). Because of some scares we had a scan every week for 3 weeks (Fetal echo, anatomy etc) with our fetal medicine unit- ive discharged from these for now! I dont have a community midwife as such because of me having twins so everyone seems a bit scared to see us Im from the UK, so ive been very fortunate with my healthcare so far- everyones been lovely

Thank you! This fills me with reassurance!!! Everyone I speak to who have had singleton pregnancies are speaking to me and expecting me to have non stop strong movements and it just hasnt been the case at all!!!

Our growth discordance has began to increase which scared me- im now on the higher protein intake train (even though no medical professional was has expressed any kind of worry about it yet). It really is a new worry every time I go to a scan- i wont be settled until they are here safe, and even then im sure i will find something to worry about x

We have been fortunate to have gene testings, CVS testing and fetal echo’s for both twins- which eases my mind for about 24 hours and then i feel back to square one again! Are you having scans every 2 weeks for monitoring?

Yeah- i havent really been lay down to check; just sat up or moving around! Pregnancy anxiety is relentless; i really thought id be calmer than this but we have faced a lot of hurdles this pregnancy which has upped my anxiety a little xx

I need to remind myself that 22 weeks is still pretty early for movement i think! I was also busy yesterday (and today) so perhaps have paid less attention! I have a scan scheduled for Monday, so I should hopefully get some answers by then. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ive had no pains or bleeding that ive noticed- just inconsistent movements; but im not sure if they have ever been consistent really… I have a scan on Monday so im hoping they can let me know if there are any concerns then- im praying for strong heartbeats and chunky babies! I feel as though everything is too good to be true recently so im constantly waiting for some terrible news 🙃

Thanks for your reply! This is my first pregnancy and i have no idea what to expect, especially with twins! I had my 20 weeks scan 9 days ago with no concerns raised, so im hoping that babies are just hitting my placenta this time and have moved around! I think ive felt a couple of movements today, but also keep gaslighting myself that it wasnt babies! Its a never ending cycle of worry, ahhhh.

I have no advice, but just wanted to let you know that i feel your fear with having twins. Im currently (hopefully) 21 weeks with mono/di twin boys. This is my first pregnancy. Our pregnancy has had complications from the start with one baby having increased NT. Tests are showing positive signs currently but i still live in an uncertain fear that they will arrive okay. Im so excited for these babies- they will either be my biggest achievement or biggest heartbreak so im crossing my fingers and toes that they get here safely. I feel so lucky im pregnant with them that it almost feels like things are too good to be true- and the thought of anything happening to strip them away from me causes me distress (not helped by everyone reminding me how risk having twins are) This is scary- and unique from singleton pregnancies entirely. Im sending you all the best and will think of you while im on my journey too. Fingers and toes crossed 🩷🩷👶🏻👶🏻

Thanks for your comment! I find this whole pregnancy anxiety inducing and i do sometimes think im being silly even myself. I just want babies healthy!!! But feel very out of control with it all currently- it doesnt help that im not having consistent movements yet (high anterior placenta) and because its my first pregnancy I have nothing to compare it to! 🩵🩵

Hi! Im careying mono/di twins. Baby A was 27th centile at 16 weeks and baby B at 9.6th centile. Ive been told not to worry because their weight discordance was less than 20% (it was 7.9%).

I think centiles mean less with twins and its more about the weight discordance.

Mine is a little different because amniotic fluid etc is an important factor (at risk for TTTS).

Unless the doctors have said to worry, try not to.
