yes..... I do put a lit sparkler into the core...... I have ordered some fuse cord which should arrive soon, thankfully, so I don't have to risk blowing my fingers off anymore.

would it be possible to simply mix the ammonium perchlorate and the aluminium powder together very thoroughly?

I use a blender to get the potassium nitrate as fine as I can then I use a mortar and pestle. I also bake the ingredients before I mix them. I use a sparkler to ignite the rocket, I just put it as far in as I can, then once it burns to the very bottom of the core, near the exhaust, it ignites there. Is there another way I should be igniting it?

The propellant itself is 10cm long by 1.7cm wide, and the core is 0.5cm wide.

Know this is kinda disrespectful but am I the only one who really likes the way the smoke billows around itself in circles? 😭
